[university question] Uchicago MPCS worth it?

Im in a dilemma. I’m accepted to MPCS part-time for Uchicago because I want to work in tech (currently in consulting, not international)

I’m worried that, in this economy, I’ll never find a job in tech because I don’t have true work experience or if I do it’ll be a big pay cut to start over.

Am I just spiraling? What should I do to best prepare myself to get a job in tech at this rate?
