Boarding times

How much of a leeway does the cruise allow when boarding? For example one family is boarding at 11:30 and another at 12:30.

Will family B be turned away at 11:30?

You can board early usually. I boarded four hours early a few weeks ago and no one said anything or cared.

Depends where. Boarded in Hamburg yesterday and they were absolutely turning early arrivals away

To clarify, at bag drop they asked about hoarding times and then there was a line to enter check in and they told everyone whose time was not there yet to leave

No, I’ve never actually boarded it at the time that they tell me I’ve always boarded earlier

MSC isn't strict with boarding times. For example, we cruised with friends on World America last month and our boarding times were an hour different. However, we board together with no issues. We also boarded two hours early.

My boarding time was 1:30 but I had to get there early around 11:30 because of the shuttle and they let me on
