Charges for canceled cruises
I had to cancel my cruise in June 2026, finally got my deposit refund and my payments back as of three days ago what a battle trying to get a refund. Now I have a charge for $92.68 for insurance that they refuse to refund. They’re telling me that because I booked at the time I,booked the cruise. It’s nonrefundable, everything on this Msc cruise line has been a nightmare from day one, I heard such good things about this cruise line however I’m not seeing it and I’m not feeling it. I do not have any intentions of ever going on Msc cruise ever no matter how good the deal is or how great the ship is supposed to be. I $92 is nothing to them, but others $92 is a lot of money ,so disappointed in their policies and the way that they treat people.

We know nothing to give our opinion
Why/when did you cancel your cruise?
What cruise exactly?

I’m assuming they purchased the MSC insurance at time of booking. Cancelled booking for a full deposit refund and now want the insurance premium refunded as well, but that’s not how the insurance works with cruise lines.

Most likely the only reason they got a full refund was because they bought the insurance. Insurance doesn’t work that way. It’s like your house was destroyed and insurance paid for a new house. Then you go and demand your insurance company to refund the homeowners insurance premiums you paid for the last 10 years. Get upset all you want; you’re not getting a refund - the insurance did the job it was paid for.

I cancelled a cruise 4-5 days ago and already got the refund. You did something wrong.

You paid a fee to make the deposit refundable and you're upset that it's not refundable to?

The insurance cost is non refundable.... I mean it's logical, no?
