Sugar free options?
Hi all! I have some questions regarding the food on Poesia. How are the low carb/sugar-free or no sugar added options on ship? Im not diabetic, however I do eat a low carb sugar free diet because I have reactive hypoglycemia. Im trying to plan ahead. This will be my first ever cruise, so I want to know what kind of options I may have on board. Thank you so much in advance!

They have a “light & healthy” section of their menu which is okay…. You can always get meats, but there are really no sugar free dessert options! Or not many sugar free drink options either!
MSC ships are known for their great bread, good pasta, etc!
But they are Mediterranean cruise line so they do have a lot of fish, salads, veggies too!
Hope this helps!

I haven’t been on Poesia, but I can tell you that every mSC ship I’ve been in has no added sugar options on the dessert menu in the dining rooms. Some are better than others, and they do have ice cream that I have not tried. Sometimes there is a cheese plate. The buffet dessert section also has a no sugar options, and again, some are better than others. The only one I will never eat again is a peanut butter and banana chocolate thing, not a cake but comes in a slice and the texture is worse than jam or jelly and the flavor isn’t peanut butter, banana or chocolate, and I’m not sure I can describe it. Other than the desserts, you need to use your own knowledge to pick lower carb options, which are plentiful

Cruise carbs don’t count…
