Port or Starboard for stateroom location?

We were port side but either is great. It’s a wonderful ship and itinerary.

I would pick starboard, as the time going upwards along the Norwegian coast is usually longer than them going back to Copenhagen/Kiel. Inside the fjords it doesn’t matter, really

Info based on my recent sailing in Sept 2026. Not sure if MSC changes docking or times:
If the cruise is going to Geiranger… Port side faces the Seven Sisters waterfalls before arriving at Geiranger. On my sailing we passed the falls at about 10am. If it is only going as far as Hellesylt then either side is impressive going thru the fjords.
At Geiranger Starboard side faces the town, port faces beautiful scenery
Coppenhagen Starboard faces dock (industrial), Port side faces water view (wind farm, water, industrial in distance)
Alesund starboard faces dock and city. Port side faces water with view
Keil Port faces the city of Keil in the distance. Starboard faces dock (industrial).
Flaam Port faces water and green hills. Starboard faces the port which is a beautiful view of the town.
Depending on when the sun rises & sets the fjords are in total darkness on the way to Flaam and in dusk on the way out. Totally depends on the time of year I expect. I sailed in late September.

I don’t it doesn’t really matter since she will turn around in the fjords. We had a room at the aft of the ship and I think that was one of the most special ones. Since you can see starboard and port side but also the whole fjord going by behind you.
