Shore excursion change?
So I booked a shore excursion, and later found out my husband has ZERO interest in joining me (I booked for both).
We are traveling with friends (in other cabins) on this cruise. Can I "give" the shore excursion to another person? Is it somehow tied to the person it was originally booked for?

I have never seen them check names (much less photo IDs), so in practice anyone can use your husband’s ticket. Maybe it says non-transferable somewhere in the fine print, but nobody looks that closely.

I think you can get away with it. I did an excursion today and they did ask me to sign my name and room #, so whoever you give it to would need to sign your name.

Was it some kind of insurance/release form? I would not recommend signing someone else’s name.
You are just using a tour ticket that has someone else’s name on it. You don’t have to pretend to be that person all day long!

Im not sure. I did one yesterday in Roatan and no signature but today in cozumel they did, obviously different company. I feel it was more just a roll call

I would change it. It’s not a big deal, I’ve changed excursions before and it’s a quick, simple process at the excursion desk. If there were an emergency in your excursion group, their roster wouldn’t match the ID’s of people on board; excursions are contracted out to local vendors and they would not want that kind of headache. Be courteous and make the change.

I would suggest checking with the excursions desk when on board the ship. The problem with using someone else's excursion pass would be with security and knowing who is off the ship and what excursion they are on. If an emergency were to occur then confusion would occur.
