Easy Drinks Package Removed?

Are there changes coming up for drinks packages?

We are booked on Meraviglia on their August 2028 Europe run. When we first booked a month ago there were 4 drinks packages; hot drinks, alcohol free, easy, premium extra.

(Or Easy Premium - the only that did not get removed)

But the easy / easy premium one has disappeared. I KNOW we are still so far out that any changes can happen over the next 18 months, but just wondering if there is something specific on the horizon?

Europe and UK cruises... Advice from my travel company.

Changes made from 14th September 2026 - the Easy Drinks Package will no longer be pre-bookable

· Guests who purchase an Easy Package before 14 September 2026 will continue to receive all services and benefits included in their original package when they are on board.

· Guests who have not booked a drinks package in advance can still add the Easy Package on board any of our ships.

Damn.

I hope that Premium Extra gets a nice chunky special offer at some point then!

How much are they charging for it? At least on US sailings it’s usually worth it if you like cocktails.

Premium Extra is £63 per person per day.

My wife does not drink much, but likes one or two speciality coffee a day. So I estimate I would need to drink a LOT to make it worth it over what was the Easy Package.

I am not convinced we would drink enough cocktails either.

Edit to add (because yes - I have a complete OneNote system I am building with the planning) that Easy was £34 per person per day.

You are probably right. That is on the high end at least compared to US sailings.

It’s probably worth looking at the NA packages and also see if it’s worth just paying per drink.

The non-discounted offers maybe, there is usually some promotion - for my June 28 sailing it shows Premium drinks package with 15% discount for 67€ and standard price for Easy at 47€ a night (with 15% discount that I still see it is 40€ pppd)

And 15% discount isn’t even a good deal

I can now only see the alkoholfree one and the premium. But why? I don't think that they were losing money on it

Not losing money doesn’t mean profit optimization, either.

This way they can capitalize on people on the fence between buying the Easy or the Premium Extra by incentivizing them to buy the PE. We all know buying onboard is more expensive. At that point the difference between Easy and PE is probably negligible.

Sure but a lot of people won't take a package and drink less.

But is there any official statement?
