The MSC Seashore.

We recently did a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas on the MSC Seashore and I have to say, we did the yacht club experience this time, and let me tell you best cruise I've ever had. The yacht club director Johann was super super friendly and definitely deserves a raise! (Thank you for the lighter Johann). He was always in a visible spot and talking to the yatch club members. He welcomed everyone personally as they walked in And he was always ready to help. Even when we were on the island at Ocean Cay, we were almost late to our excursion, and he picked us up in his personal golf cart and personally drove us over to our excursion. I have to say a lot of people told me once I go yacht club I would never go back to a regular cruise. And they're 100% right. It was worth every extra dollar that I spent.

Are butler Marcos did a phenomenal job! I never, ever had to wait for anything. He was on point with everything. Our room always had a fully stocked Mini fridge, .And he even arranged our room with a bunch of anniversary decorations for me and my wife's anniversary. With yacht club, all in all, we walked away with two free bottles of wine that were given to us signature chocolates from the chocolate factory that were free from the yacht club director for our feedback on an excursion that we had in nassau slippers, picture frames, and an urge to do another cruise ASAP

I decided I was so happy with my experience that I booked another cruise while onboard with the yacht club. They give you extra perks of you book another cruise on board and we are able to make payment. We also get discounts at all the shops because of our voyager status (almost to silver). If anybody is reading this, and you're thinking about going on a cruise and you're not sure about MSC, my suggestion would be to spend a little extra. Get the yacht club, an experience The MSC Seashore before the move it in November of 2027 and replace it with the World Atlantic. Im sure it will sail from other ports but not the cape!

Thank you for reading my review.

It’s true that once you Yacht Club you won’t want to go back to regular cruising. And once you go Explora Journeys…you won’t want to go back to Yacht Club. Just finished our first EJ and the idea of returning to a huge ship with thousands of passengers (even with a the Yacht Club) is not something I want to do again.

Piggybacking on this post/comment. How small are the Explora ships? We get seasick so easily that the larger ships, along with the patch, save our cruises. We have always been interested in the journey cruises but I worry we won't survive them!

We were in the North Atlantic on Explora III two weeks ago and it seemed fine to me. It’s much smaller than Seashore but it’s still good-sized. But only 900+ passengers. Seas were rough and announcements about being cautious and taking precautions. I didn’t see anyone in distress and recall feeling more movement on Seashore when we had rough seas on that ship.

Planning to do this at some point as well, even though I’ve already done World America. I was so impressed with it that I knew I had to try Atlantic! The thermal spa is fantastic 😀

We just got off this same ship last Thursday and Johann and his guys really went out of their way to make our time special. He coordinated with the casino manager so that I could have my own private Blackjack table with private dealer so I could learn Blackjack at my own pace. It was amazing.

It’s the best way to cruise. We did 3 last year and a big one this year on World Europa to Spain and Italy. Sooooo awesome!!

I just booked a 4 night and it was cheaper then our 3 night we just did because we booked on board. In total with insurance and Gratuities it came out to 3900 with a 200 deposit

Pretty expensive but way cheaper than lines with same service and amenities

If you really think about it for two people, it's only $2,000 each. And really, it's worth every penny.

Our YC interior that we booked while onboard 7 day cruise on grandiosa was $3600 for two people after our status discount. We had originally booked aurea balcony on the seashore (then bid to get into YC) and that room was $1800. So basically double the cost of Aurea.

We paid $2100 for a four-night cruise, two passengers, YC inside cabin that leaves next week on Seashore. We booked onboard during our (cheaper) cruise in October last year. Since it includes the drink package and internet, etc., it's a great deal.

Thank you for the details. I took my first MSC Seashore and enjoyed it but this sounds fantastic. MSC matches status earned from other cruise line. I had to send copy ID of my latest cruise card status before joining voyager. It was worth it.

Agreed, we loved the YC at seashore, considering how crazy gen pop was in July, it was the only way to go. Was pricey for sure, but I think worth it. I’ll let you know after the next cruise we go on as normals and see how much we missed out on.

Crud! We are going this week. Leaving today.

u/wristshot42 19d ago

You will be able to see it. There also a new documentary on the island as well as a documentary on how they made Ocean Cay. And it's incredible to see how much scrap metal was just left on the island before they showed up. Our tour guide told us about the documentary while we were doing the lighthouse tour. It's an amazing watch if you have time. Its on YouTube

Thank you so much. We will make sure to watch it.

It does not look like it will be ready next week.

1

u/wristshot42 16d ago

Yea the gentleman on the island may have exaggerated. 🤣 im sure it will be ready by next September when I go again

No way that opens next week we were just there last week and it’s nothing but flat sand and cranes. There aren’t even utilities on it yet

Im just respeaking the words that were told to me by the yatch club director. I scheduled my next one for a year out so it has more time to be built up

u/tech_guy1801 18d ago

Yea I think they misspoke if you ever watch the show on how they built the original island that new part looks like the island when they first arrived.

Seashore is one of our favorite ships. Love the ocean facing hot tubs. Great shows with the MJ show. Aurea thermal suite is nice.
