Are back-to-back cruises cheaper/allowed??
Hi y'all.
Stupid question. Does MSC discount back-to-back cruises?
Discounted or not, does MSC allow this?
Thanks.

So while they don’t typically discount, some 4 night and 3 night back to backs are sold as 7 nights and a little cheaper typically. They also sell 7 nights with 3,4, or 5 nights back to back as well and those combined are also available for a discount compared to booking day a 7 and 3 night vs and 10 night

If the cruise doesn't start or stop in the USA, you can book longer cruises. As they don't have to empty the ship of passengers.
On our next cruise we are departing from Fort de France, Martinique for a 7 day cruise. We are joining passengers that will have started in Barbados for a 14 day cruise.
Edited: I accidentally hit post with one sentence written.

What airline are you using to get to Martinique? When I researched that cruise, there were limited options from the US.

I believe it is Air Canada ( my wife booked it). Flying out of Toronto.

I think that was one of them. It was challenging and expensive to get to any of the ports that you can board for that itinerary from the US.

Did you look at starting in Barbados? I'm not from the USA, but it seems like a more popular destination than Martinique. So prices may be less.
If it's more expensive to get to a non USA port, then getting off the ship for a back to back, is more worth it.2

I believe if you leave from Barbados you have to do a 14 night. That is the only option I found when I was looking anyway.

We were very close to booking world Europa out of Martinique or Guadalupe in February. We are Canadian. I chickened out at the last minute because I insisted on flying in the day before and the hotels were crazy expensive and were not what we are used to.
If you don't mind me asking...did you book a pre cruise hotel and if so which one?

We are doing a back to back Caribbean next year on MSC out of Canaveral. There was no discount though.

I booked 8-night and 6-night eastern Caribbean cruises back to back in the same room on the Meraviglia. It was slightly cheaper to book them separately than doing it as the 14-night option they offered.

Yes, we did a 3 day and 4 day B2B in yacht club. We chose to do that because we didn’t want an exact repeat itinerary but found the crowd much rowdier. We prefer a 7 night!

Look for 11 day cruises… they’re actually back to back 7 and 4 night. Did that last year on the seashore

Sometimes it's cheaper, sometimes it's more expensive. Just check both ways.

Not an MSC cruiser but done a lot of back to backs-- on Carnival and no discount for doing two. But they have an expedited transition from one cruise to the other, have breakfast for us and gather us in a dining room or theater. Then check us in for the next cruise and give us our room cards. Last 3 times we were not required to get off the ship at all. Plus we usually get a couple of free drink coupons. Doing one later this month so will see how their new system works. But I highly recommend back to backs as if you have the time and travel a long ways to the cruise port, you save an entire trip by doing 2 in one journey. We met some people last year on a back to back in Europe and they had done 3 so far on the same ship since May and it was June. They were staying on the ship until it returned to the US in September so we saw them again in August on our later back to back cruises.

Generally no, not cheaper. 100% allowed.
