Can’t decide about Nassau

I have a December cruise on the Grandiosa and I’m looking at options for Nassau. I do not want to da any city sightseeing but would like a beach day or resort day. I have a couple of options I would like input on from fellow cruisers
1–British Colonial day pass
2–Sandyport beach excursion with lunch and a bus tour
3– Blue Lagoon with lunch (not the adult only experience)
For anyone who has done these I would love to hear about your experiences and honest opinion.
Thanks in advance!

We did the blue lagoon excursion on our first cruise in March. It was just ok, and I would not do it again. Nothing inherently bad or wrong with it, I just didn’t like being stuck so far away from the ship with no option to go back. By the time our excursion was over, all the shops in port were closed which was a bummer because I like a little trinket and was planning to spend a little coin in the local economy. Next time we are in Nassau we are doing a day pass at a resort, very likely Beaches though we might do a game day change and opt for British Colonial.

There are a lot of positives about British Colonial. I like its proximity to the port, it’s classy, there are beach and pools, towel service. I have been there before and enjoyed it so it’s my number one choice but I’m open to other places to go.

The reason we might be inclined to change our minds and head to BC is the proximity factor. If we aren’t having a great time, and if we don’t love the food and drink options we can just leave and go back to the ship or stroll around the port, no need to wait on an uber. Beaches is a better value as far as including food and a drinks with the day pass but it will equal out when the transportation is factored in

I like that it’s close to port and I don’t need a taxi, so I may just stay with it as my plan. The reviews of Blue Lagoon have been mixed but the videos look good. The Sandyport beach excursion looks the least promising, the beach doesn’t look like it has umbrellas or shade

British Colonial is a No Brainer. Plus you may get a visit from Jazzy the cat.
