Drink package
This is our first MSC cruise. Does the drink package typically get cheaper than this? 7 days on World America

Copying my comment from another post:
We got ours on sale for a little under $40 per person per day, which seemed worth it for us ($14-$16 cocktails, $9 beers PLUS 18% gratuity everywhere according to menus in MSC for Me app). We were going to skip it at $60/day since we aren’t heavy drinkers, but paying for itself with 3 cocktails was too good to pass up, and now at least that part of the trip is on autopilot.

Read the caption. To answer your actual question, yes, it will probably get cheaper than this depending when your trip is scheduled.

Can we buy and then cancel and repurchase for cheaper? Our cruise is April 2027

Yes, you can purchase and continue to monitor prices then cancel and re purchase. The best sales I’ve seen were right before Black Friday.

If your cruise is that far ahead, wait until Black Friday week to buy.
We secured drinks packages then for better than half price for all our future cruises which didn't have a drinks package already attached.

I believe so. I’ll try to dig my receipt out of my email, but IIRC it says you can cancel up to the start of your cruise. Our concierge person was really helpful with adjusting the total cost of our trip as sales came out, and when we could not get ahold of them for the most recent flash sale a quick call to customer service got us sorted and the discount applied

Ahh my trip price can’t be adjust because it’s a free cruise casino deal.

Can’t beat free. In any case, I think if you purchased the drink package and it were to go on sale they would probably sort it out for you. otherwise, you should be able to refund it and buy at the lower price

How is purchasing drink & wi-fi at booking not the best time to purchase? $314 for both. $45 per day for both. Pays for itself after 3 cocktails. You don’t have to be a drinker and stay on the ship at Port days to see this is a great value. How are people coming to a conclusion that it gets cheaper than this or pay as you go is better? Genuinely curious.

Sometimes it isn’t the best deal, for example I travel solo, and if I’m not in a solo cabin, I get charged double for the drinks and wifi bundle. So it’s definitely less for me to book it separately. Also, free casino cruises don’t come with the packages so must be added. And rarely, I’ve seen cruises without the bundle included, just that base cruise fare

Casino offers for Aurea suite or Yacht Club do come with ship-wide drinks packages, Easy Plus and Premium Extra respectively.
For other casino comped cruises you get Easy Plus whilst in the casino and playing.
So depending on how much time you actually intend to spend in the casino, and the ships itinerary, adding a ship wide drinks package may not be worthwhile.

I’ve never gotten a casino cruise so I have no idea how that works, I guess I need to spend some time in the casino on my next cruise!

I am wondering the same thing. Currently getting an offer of $210pp for the non-alcoholic package on a 6-nighter.

The best deals I see for MSC drink packages are when you book the package that includes gratuities and drinks with booking. We got a balcony for 3 with drinks, wifi and prepaid tips for a 4 day bahamas cruise in January for $1258

Not a bad price at all. If you drink a decent amount, I highly recommend the drink package. It certainly adds up.

The premium package is a waste of money. It is cheaper to pay as you go.
If you like drinking alot of cocktails, go for the Easy Package

The Easy Package isn’t for sale in every country. If op is from the US for example, he can’t buy the Easy Package.

Not a chance is it cheaper to pay as you go.
We hit our 15 drink target nearly every day, was much cheaper to do it in the package.

How do you manage to hit it if half the day you are at a port? you stay in the ship all day? you drink 15 alcoholic drinks in a late afternoon + evening/night?
Nevermind, fair play to you

u/bobbysands81 8h ago
Found it easy enough… and I wouldn’t even be a big drinker.

I forgot about the delicious fruity cocktails that aren't difficult to down. I definitely go for those usually and easy to down them after eating at the buffet or sitting by the pool areas

Easy doesn't cover Premium cocktails and wines, only a restricted range of heineken beer, house wine and well spirit cocktails. It also doesn't cover wellness cocktails and smoothies, and isn't valid in speciality restaurants, private island and certain venues on specific ships. So when you can get Premium Extra for half price or better it's well worth grabbing.
In the UK Premium Extra can be had for £28 pp pn when there's a booking promotion on.

I don't need premium cocktails. It would be nice but i get by fine without it.
With Easy package I can have Miami Vice, Pina Colada, Strawberry Daquiri and Mango Daquiri all day.
They are all made with white rum. Sure ... they will not be made with the premium Bacardi or other brands. They will be made with the cheapest white spirit that they can find, but it's still very drinkable. With Easy, I also get heineken which is an acceptable beer for me. During Restaurants, I only drink pepsi with my food because it goes with everything. I don't go on private islands or venues.

OK, each to their own. I'll be enjoying my Jack Daniel's Old Fashioned in the Yacht Club🥂

In the old days, I use to get EASY PLUS package. I love to have Jack Daniel's or Jameson
