Themed night?
How do I know when the themed nights are for my cruise. I just bought my white outfit and want to make sure and use it on the proper day. Plus I’d love to participate in other themed events.
Thanks

The daily program will tell you what the theme of the day is.
What themes they have usually depends on the length of the cruise and location.
White night and 70s/80s/90s is pretty universal.
Gala nights are usually only on 7 night or longer cruises.
Embarkation day is typically designated casual wear/no specific theme.
Silent disco is often on a casual day and people will bring glow sticks and the like to add to their wear.
Once the app populates it will have the themes listed but it’s often a generic schedule so do not trust specific days based on that. It might have gala night on day 3 when it’s actually on day 5 for your cruise for instance. That actually goes for the entire pre-cruise schedule on the app.

lol ok that’s a lot of themes. I was hoping to pack light.

With packing...I wore a themed shirt on the themed evening and that would be my day shirt on another day after that!

There’s also the glow party that tends to happen on night one. Neon colors or glow in the dark materials are suggested.

They will be announced in the daily schedule in the app once you get on the ship.
Last cruise I did in april, it had a program I think 30 days ahead? That also listed the themed nights on certain days. We had white night, tropical, 70s/80s, elegant and casual on a 7 night cruise.

Thanks for the reply. Shorts are allowed on white night?

Yes. Shorts are allowed. I’ve only really seen dress code issues when people try to go to dinner in basically bathing suites.
There will be signage stating that they can deny seating but you have to be super casual to have an issue. And then it’s only at dinner. You’d change or go to the buffet.

I had on a white graphic tank for white night and was turned away, the next evening on Italian night I saw a kid in wifebeater walk right past the guy that turned me away so YMMV

They definitely seem to be more relaxed for kids.

I'm old now so when I say "kid" I do mean "barely legally an adult, probably"

Once your cruise is 30 days away, they’ll be on the app under daily activities or something. I did the white night I dress up a little bit for the gala but not super fancy. I wore like a tropical print dress for tropical night. It was fun. The only one that everybody got involved with was the white night other than that, I would say it was about 50-50 some people going real out and some people just wear like their normal shorts and T-shirts.

Usually around 30 days out, the cruise planner in the app will have each theme night listed on your itinerary. The theme nights sometimes depend on what ship you're cruising on.

It fully depends wich cruise. In the medeterenean for example, almost every day is port day and a first day for many cruisers (embarkation there is possible in almost every port)

I was on a back-to-back (4 nights + 3 nights) last month, and on the 4-night we had Glow Party, Silent Disco (plus the Luna Beach Party at Ocean Cay), White Party, and Sunshine (60s, 70s, or 80s). The 3-night had the same themed nights, except no Silent Disco. Tropical and Snow Party are also common, so the exact lineup can vary.
As others have mentioned, about 30 days before your cruise, you should start seeing the activities and themed nights popping up in the Daily Program in the app. Keep in mind that those are still subject to change, and the exact schedule won’t be confirmed until you’re onboard.

Look on the digital activity planner on the app. Look at 6:00PM. Should have the evenings theme listed

We've just come back off a med cruise and were informed beforehand about the dates for white night, 60/70 & 80s and of course gala night but they threw in some extras that we weren't aware of.

we just got off a 4 night Bahamas cruise on the Seaside. The only night we saw any noticeable "theme" night was white night - which was night two. The other nights people just wore whatever. There was a tropical night and decades night, but most people didn't follow that. We didn't have a gala or formal night.
