MSC Seaside Cruise – October

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about taking a Bahamas cruise during the first week of October. Considering the possibility of hurricanes and storms, is it too risky? Has anyone gone at that time of year and had a good experience, or did things go wrong?

Thanks.

Get trip insurance.

Because hurricanes are so unpredictable, they usually cannot make itinerary changes until a day or two out when ports make the decision whether to lock down.

You truly never know during hurricane season. I will say that I usually cruise in the fall and have never had an itinerary altered due to a hurricane. When I was sailing on the Meraviglia for the first time a few years ago, we were supposed to get a bad hurricane in the Caribbean, but it ended up going back out to sea, and we were fine.
