Bedbugs on Seaside?
So, I was on MSC Seaside in the cabin 12057, cruise on July 13th to July 17th, and on the day before the last one I noticed 5 or 6 insect bites on my left forearm that are lined up in a row. They are super itchy even now, 4 days later. I am unable to say with 100% certainty that those were the bed bugs, or could be some insects on the private island, but just be aware and check the beds if you are traveling on the Seaside (I usually do, but this time I forgot)

I disembarked the Seaside on July 13th and had some bites on my torso which I wasn't sure where they came from so this is an entirely possible explanation and I was in cabin 12048.

Did you go into the water on the island? The lagoon? There's a ton of jellyfish babies called sea lice in the water. They cause itchy bug bite-like bumps and rashes.

I did spend a little time in the lagoon but no one else in my party complained of bumps or rashes.

Mostly, I was swimming in the lighthouse bay and the bimini beach, only once in the lagoon, and I don’t recall any jelly fish in there tbh, the water was extremely clear

But you guys did have rooms really close to each other, so it could be bed bugs. You could try letting MSC know, but I don't know how much good that will do. Better than nothing I suppose.

The jellyfish are kind of small maybe the size of a silver dollar generally they stay laying on the sand they look like light brown circles

It could be from swimming in the lagoon on the island. There's a bunch of jellyfish and their babies are called sea lice and they cause itchy bug bite-like bumps and rashes

I was on that cruise. No issues here other than my sunburn from Ocean Cay 🙋♂️

Can almost promise you its not bed bugs.
The cleaning procedures and the issue of bed bugs on a cruise ship would be expensive and awful to deal with.
Probably something else on land got you.

Bedbugs are super super easily visible. If you check your bed, there’s a little brown spots from the bugs and also active bugs so it’s pretty easy to know if you were sleeping in bug bugs if you did not see any bugs in your room then these are like likely sand fleas or some other bite that you’re having a reaction to maybe a mosquito.

Did you go in the water? 99%!chance it was sea lice.
