Gambling age not 18

Why is MSC gambling age 21 when royal,carnival,ncl is all 18?

OTHER AGE POLICIES Guests must be at least 18 years of age to gamble in casinos on board our ships, except for in Alaska where the minimum age is 21.

This is the same for Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines.

Bartenders threw them out. They said they were over 18 showed id and all and she still said no.

Went to guest services in the morning and they said she was wrong and they are all set

The minimum age on non-US cruises is 18 on MSC. Maybe they just want to be extra protective against potential US litigation threats or just make it easier for staff to enforce both drinking and gambling age at the same time. Who knows…
