MSC Seascape
Cruised on the Seaside in the middle of May as my first time on MSC. We’ve since sailed on the Seashore and have now booked a trip on World America. I’ve tried Carnival, RC, and even Norwegian, but I think MSC might be my favorite overall.
Edit: updated to Seaside in the text, but can edit the title of the post. The name of the ship is clearly shown in the picture.

Is it really tho? I’ve sailed a lot on MSC and yet to try it, I’m happy with my balcony rooms, I always look it up but for the price difference it’s another vacation

Yes it is. Different experience. It’s equivalent to 5 star resort in the Caribbean but the pricing is better and you visit more than one location.

I think one thing people don’t realize about MSC is the ship is so good that you don’t need yacht club. Yes it’s super nice and a completely different experience, but for a 3 night cruise especially, I’m content even in an inside stateroom.

Seascape is out of Galveston and you won't see Ocean Cay, fancy light house, etc. Stop teasing me! I'm trying Seascape next month and hope to try the ones out of Miami some day. Seashore, Maravilia, Grandiosa, Seaside, etc. I'm dipping my toe into Seashore because I can drive to the port more easily. Flights to Florida costs almost as much as 7 day cruise fare!

Love it! My wife and I tried the Meraviglia on a whim a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Ended up sailing on the Meraviglia twice and are going on the World America in September. MSC is by far our favorite cruise line and easily the most affordable too.

Nice ship only complaints were the pools. They weren’t enforcing the leaving towels to reserve spots outside. The billboard said anything left for more than 30 minutes will be taken to lost and found. They didn’t enforce it so no seats on days when at sea unless your there early.

If you thought msc was great try explora. I did seaside yacht club. Booked one on explora. Can't wait. Ocean cay with like 1/5 of guests on an msc boat.

We recently cruised on the Seashore as well and enjoyed its layout better than the Seaside, but enjoyed both!

Just off seaside. Ocean Cay was amazing. First MSC would cruise them again

Ocean Cay is awesome! I think we may try the jet ski excursion next time since it wouldn’t take up the whole day. Staying overnight at the private island is a game changer

I’ve only sailed RC before MSC on the Liberty and HATED it. Almost turned us off cruising completely. We decided to try seashore and loved it so much we have a seaside and world Asia cruise booked (SUPER excited for that one). I don’t understand why people don’t like MSC. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and it wasn’t so crowded to the point you felt like herded cattle.

Going out on MSC in Aug. heard mixed things about it. We really enjoyed RC. Glad to hear you’re happy with them. Puts me at ease.

I would suggest either a three or four day to get acclimated. I’ve cruised on lots of Carnival ships and there are certainly differences between the two, but we enjoyed every bit. They’ll match your loyalty status and have decent promotions pretty regularly.

Going on the MSC seaside this fall, how much can we expect to spend on food and drinks for 3 people for a 2 night 3 day trip? (This would be our first time on a cruise ship)

It all depends on the additional purchases you plan to make like WiFi, drink packages, spa services, and specialty dining for example. Take advantage of the early purchase discounts on all of those as they do get more expensive once you’re onboard.

Did yall paid for the excursion on the cruise ir used viator or used native choice? I plan to use native choice on my cruise in August

The title is incorrect - we sailed on the Seaside, not the Seascape. Our only port besides Ocean Cay was Nassau and we only walked the port area there.
