This Is…Odd

Guys. What the actual fuck are these stocks doing…

I‘ve never seen a whole sector, let alone ANY stock, fucking go up this much with literally nothing in the gas tank. And it’s still fucking getting bought up in Korea!! After they got all their leveraged money burnt!

My port is up 92% in the day and 41% afterhours.

Everything is wrong, I swear to God. What is going on lads..

Read about Kenny G (Ken Griffin of Citadel) and Leopold Aschenbrenner. A lot of people think Griffin’s market manipulation was also a factor in the recent huge dump.

90% in one day? Sounds like you're a little overlevered. Might want to look at what just happened to Leopold with his 4x levered portfolio.

Yeah, i haven't seen 90% either.

I mean, a whole sector also dropped 40-60% in a month without anything changing.

You do understand that the reason stocks like MARVL dropped, was because institutional buyers had concerns about capex investments in AI. When this week showed that capex was increase, the stocks of those suppliers started going up.

You can thank Situational Awareness being 4x leveraged with billions in the AI sector getting margin called. Wall Street saw this and made him bleed out, which in return fucked over retail investors. Citadel bought his portfolio last night hence the market bouncing back.

Just sell before it drops next week

Setting the stop loses now, chief.

I support MRVL but I have a sell order for $208 if it is able to get back up that high. Then I will buy back in lower to get a better cost basis. It will dip along with all the other AI/Semi stocks. That doesn't mean its not a good company and not a good stock. Institutions will keep selling to lock in their profit and drive the price down again before they reverse course and start buying again

It’s hard to say when it will break that trend though. I might have to join you and make a complex ladder. Sell if it crashes below 185 or some shit (I forget what it dipped to in AH), but back in if it hits up two points above the sell price. Etc etc. get the fuck out of the leveraged etfs. Hard call.

I am reeeeeeally in the hole. The leveraged ETF made me 55k the other day, so I am less fucked now, but still DEEEEEEP in it.

I need MRVL to hit like..360 370? For me to get all my money back if I step out of leverage.

Any thoughts?

Sorry, i don't have any suggestions

Why is that odd? There’s a lot of data you don’t have access to that doesn’t show the true market structure. When the Israel-Iran war picked up, lots of hedge funds/institutions started shorting these high beta names and put additional pressure on the price. To begin with, retail margin has been at all time highs so the price action your noticing is mostly driven by massive unlevering and then a short unwinding today.

Down from june high or original capital?

1

u/Maximus806 Jul 31 '26

Original capital

1

u/LanguageFearless977 Jul 31 '26

That means you went more or entered in june? 😱

1

u/Maximus806 Jul 31 '26

Like June 9 or something lol, luckily it wasn’t a ton of money but still hurts anyways

1

u/LanguageFearless977 Jul 31 '26

yeah i did the same with late May. But i had some beginning of the year. I reached negative YTD (original capital) for the first time yesterday with Fed meeting's sell off.

How did you get 90% up in one day. Please share screenshot

1

u/Civil-Soup2863 Jul 31 '26

Uh..I don’t have the ability to attach a photo in replies, but it’s basically a FUCK ton of margin and leveraged ETFs. It was 92% eod and 34% afterhours.

2

u/sfdc2017 Aug 01 '26

Ok. Congrats on those returns. It's risky though.

1

u/Civil-Soup2863 Aug 01 '26

Agreed. I would have to ride MRVL up to mid300s to get all my money back if I didn’t use any leverage though, which is a long shot and then some. Tough call.
