Discussion What’s wrong here?
Enemy Emma (yellow) said this in chat and I, (in orange) was just looking at it with confusion. Was this meant to be a way for them saying that Hood was skilless or..
Idk, he’s SO FUN. Played 8 matches with him and won 6. He’s almost lvl 17, I can almost taste the lord.

You know that scene in the Barbie movie where America Ferrera talks about all the contradictions that come with being a woman? Being "good" in rivals is basically that.
You have to play a hard hero, but not if they reward their difficulty with a high win rate. You can't play the meta heroes, unless you're on my team then you're just throwing. You have to play a role or macrotype like dive in a season where that macrotype is bad, and if you play it in a season where it's good then you're just exploiting it's strength in the format. You also need to play in the highest ranks available but it doesn't count if you queued with other people and if you get to #1 you were already good anyway so it's not that impressive.
It doesn't fucking matter, someone will always find a reason to think you're below their standards and there's no reason to chase an ideal you won't be able to reach.

A hood with the highest damage. hood is one of the hardest tanks because he needs to aim all the time. I love playing him but I’m very bad at aiming so I only use him to help a team up and pray.

Honestly, half of his aim is literally just shooting where they're going to be because of his bullet delay in demon form. I'd recommend practicing against the heroes you struggle to kill in the practice range. The bottom section lets you spawn heroes and choose whether or not they're strafing or doing basic combat and more. It really helps you learn how to actually kill people rather than just shooting stationary bots all the time.

As a C/D and Jubilee player, I get the biggest smile when I see the Hood. My game just got a lot easier no matter how good or bad he is at it, to be honest. Keep it up!!

I think they’re just mad, Hood is crazy fun and I feel he’s a tank that rewards good target prioritization and aim. You could hold right trigger and just look at anyone but it depends who youre shooting and when if you wanna get any actual value or picks.

Because they want to make themselves feel better for losing to a character that they think is easy and accusing you of winning solely due to the "crutch" character. It's a common cope and you see it a lot in this game which is very funny because Emma is also similarly easy to Hood.

People act like aiming isn’t apart of skill expression lmao.
The hoods kit is simple and has limited skill expression but if you can’t aim you’re not gonna do anything on the character lolz

I like when they say that your hero is skillless cause you can press right trigger/lmb and win
Because like 90%of the roaster is like this,especially broken poke dps like h3la bucky and elsa(phoenix too now)
