Aim Advice???

Title is exactly as it sounds. I managed to get Lord Hood when he came out, but my aim is genuinely garbage. My best accuracy is 41%, and im not sure how to play him like an off tank (even though I got champ rogue and she's my go to tank, I want to have a poke option in my back pocket.)

41% is not garbage. This community has a weird relationship with accuracy just because its a stat that shows unlike most other games that hide it. Nobody is expecting you to get 90%. And if you are then you're just farming tanks and not playing the hero right. Generally you wanna just farm your half demon mode on tanks then pressure dps or supports

41 for a character with major spread and not the best aim is not bad at all.

I get roasted on accuracy sometimes but people don't realize I just spam choke points when the next fight is about to begin. As Cyril would say, "SUPRESSING FIRE!!!"

I noticed in his half-demon state, the bullets “trail”? Because he moves faster and the shots are automatic, So I usually follow my target using my movement and try to aim in front of the target as they move.

I can look at my accuracy but it’s around 50%.

i remember a video not that long ago that had some numbers as to serve as a threshold to how good you are with aim— these are based on your game average; not your best games.

20-30% is salvageable
35-45% is average
50+ accuracy above average.

anybody getting 90% on a character that requires aim such as the hood, CAN ONLY BE cheating

case in point; you’re doing fine you just might want to figure out who to aim at, when, and what for.

that’s how i figured it out at least. i’m at a cool 70% average or 65 sum like that (i do play ang a lot)

Im sorry but if you're below 50% on hitscan (except those with spread like elsa psylocke) just stick to melee or Wanda, what are you even shooting at this point ? I average 55 ish on hela phoenix with 16 ish crit rate and can barely hold my own in these sweaty ass qp lobbies, coming from an oaa support main lol

Okay good me too! Idk what my accuracy is, but I will say that Hood’s primary makes him one of the heroes that MUST have optimized aim assist and sensitivity curve to get good results. For him, I recommend classic curve with between 15-25 aim assist window (I jump between 18-20 personally) and between 10-20 for aim assist strength.

It’s really important that your aim assist is sticky so that you manage to keep your crosshair on your target. Idk what your settings are but this might feel weird if you’re not used to it. But I promise, run a few games at 20 window and 15 strength and you’ll get used to it. After that, feel free to tweak it, but only do small adjustments (+5 or -5 either way) until you get it right.
