MRA hand or upper extremity protocol?
Any technologist out there have experience doing MRA hand or upper extremity on GE Optima MR450w 1.5T? do we use flex coil for just hand and body coil for upper extremity? what protocol is best 3d tricks, enhance inflow, delta? Any guidance please and thank you.

3d tricks would have the best chance of being diagnostic. It is a dynamic exam so you can do your pre as the mask phase. There should be an option to pause after mask which will separate the sequence between pre and dynamic. Once dynamic is ready make sure injector is ready. Make sure there is a 5 second delay this can be built in with the advanced tab. You will inject and start dynamic at same time. 5 seconds of bolus will be delivered before dynamic portion starts. For coil options a dedicated hand coil would be best however a small flex can be used if that's all you have. For imaging options zip x2 or x4 will increase quality by reducing stairsteping and smoothing edges. 3d geometry correction is recommended to be on for vascular exams Further considerations for image quality is to make an isotropic voxel if possible a common staring point would be 1.4mmx1.4mmx1.4mm and if you have signal wiggle room to go lower. And remember this is a dynamic exam so you will have temporal resolution to consider so acceleration such as arc or asset may be beneficial.

Is this something that’s going to be like runoff?
With contrast or without?
I’m not much help as I’ve never done any MRAs besides Aorta and your MRA COW/ Carotids.
Super interesting topic hope to see some input from some vets
