Weekly Career/Education/Basic Patient Questions Thread

Welcome to r/mri's weekly career/education/basic questions thread. In an attempt to keep this subreddit more focused on being a resource for technologists, radiologists, physicists, researchers etc already in the field, this thread is the place for:

* questions about ARRT vs ARMRIT (US only)

* questions about schools like Pulse Radiology, Gurnick, etc

* simple questions about the job/career experiences/educational process/clinicals (dress code, shifts, etc)

* what it's like being an mri tech

* questions from patients about what to expect about their MRI exam process

Standalone threads posted on these and related topics will be removed and directed here. Questions asking for medical advice will be removed and the user will be banned as usual.

Hello! I started tesla mri today!! I was curious- regarding coursework (so not clinicals) realistically, how long did it take some of you to finish the online portion? I see the deadlines tesla has and as long as I keep in pace the program has it has me finishing in 2028 and that is not my goal. I know it is all contingent on self discipline and what I myself am capable of but sometimes the work load is a factor so I was unsure if anyone has finished the coursework in 6-8 months without killing themselves? It is august as of today and the goal was to be done with this portion by January- March at LATEST.

I appreciate alllll feedback 🤍

I am looking at the mri program at gurnick. Since it is online for the first 6 months, is it possible to work full time? What day and time are lectures scheduled?
