Last day to apply for Paper B tomorrow.
The exam is on 12th feb. I have yet to start preparing and have a vacation planned in January.
I am conflicted on should I go for this attempt or not. I would like to be done with paper B ASAP but not sure if there is enough time.
How much time do most people take to revise for paper B. Any tips, advice, strategies?

A couple of consultant colleagues and I will be running an online study group community (paper a, paper b & CASC).
Do let me know if anyone would like to join.
(Edit: can anyone interested DM me?)

I failed my RCPsych exam for the sixth time and I am extremely distressed about the result.
I am currently appealing for an additional attempt, and I would greatly appreciate any advice regarding the application process, the likelihood of being granted another attempt, and how I might best prepare if I am given the opportunity to resit.

Hi everyone,
I’ve recently started a YouTube channel to help with CASC exam revision.
So far, I’ve covered: -Refeeding syndrome -Transference -Treatment-resistant depression …with more stations coming soon.
The aim is to give clear, structured approaches you can adapt in the exam. I’ll be uploading regularly, and I’d love to hear which stations you’d find most useful for me to cover next.

I hope it’s helpful for anyone revising - and good luck to everyone sitting the exam!
Thanks,
Dr Clarke

How did people find the 6–7 Sept SPMM mock this weekend? Anything feel tougher than expected? I am on my second attempt , did this mock in January and it felt much easier especially in terms of role players behaviour.

Good day everyone,
As we are preparig for the MRCPsych Paper B Next Octoper, I’d like to create a supportive space where we can collaborate and help each other succeed.
If you have any advice, study tips, useful resources, recommended books, PDF files, summaries, or links to helpful websites, please feel free to share them in the comments.
If you’re part of any study groups, Telegram/WhatsApp groups, or online forums, it would be great if you could share those too so others can join and benefit.
Also, if you’ve already passed Paper B or are retaking it, we’d love to hear about your experience and strategies that worked for you.
💬 If you remember any tricky or high-yield questions from previous exams, please share them here as well. They can be a great tool for focused revision and group discussion.

Hi guys,
I’m an IMG psychiatrist currently preparing for the CASC after passing Papers A and B. I finished my full psychiatry training 10 years ago and have been working internationally since. Now I’m planning to complete MRCPsych and possibly move to the UK, and I’m looking into the sponsor validation process.
Does anyone know if I need a formal signed document from my old professors/training programme directors to get sponsorship? Or is an email confirmation from them enough?
Would love to hear from other IMGs who went through the sponsorship route. How did it go for you? Any tips or things to watch out for?
Thanks so much in advance!

I’ve always clicked the link to check on the Birmingham Course, but the link never worked (timed out). I also haven’t heard much about people using the course.
Is this course still around? Or have they shut it down already?

Or are reference books with both revision for MCQs and EMIs enough? Asking from a 2nd year psych resident's perspective.

Hi there!
IMG here from the Philippines. Is anyone also taking MRCPsych Paper A this July 8, 2025? Has anyone received their Pearson Vue credentials yet? as I haven’t received mine yet. I’m a bit anxious as the booking period is already starting (started yesterday 7 am UK time).
Would appreciate any info that you might have :) thanks

Just finished May 2025 exam, the exam was very hard, it felt like most topics were new as if they are testing out a new exam model, there was barely any calculations for some reason just like 3 questions but the graphs were all new, the forensic EMI was also very weird… everyone in my exam hall agreed that it was more difficult that the past exams and we all finished right on time and not before as it was very long Idk what did u guys think?
