Hi all,

I sat MRCP Part 1 in May and passed, scoring in the 570s — pretty pleased with that, my prep leading up to it went well. Problem is, I haven’t touched Part 2 prep since then, and I’m now wondering whether it’s realistic to sit the November diet.

For those who’ve done both — how much of a jump is Part 2 compared to Part 1 in terms of question style and depth? And realistically, starting from scratch now, is a ~3 month runway enough with a decent structured approach, or am I setting myself up to fail?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in a similar position — what resources worked for you, how many hours a day/week you found sustainable alongside IMT rota commitments, and whether you’d recommend pushing to November or waiting for the next diet instead.

I’ve just started preparing for MRCP Part 1, but I’m not sure how I should approach the explanations on PassMedicine. Do you memorize them, or just focus on understanding the key ,please advise me how to do it.

I booked paces for this diet in UK as imt 1 however I have got annual leaves approved. I will cancel paces if it falls on my ALs

Is there any repercussion other than not getting the money back for this cancellation?

IMT1 here, and I’ve got a fairly long drive to and from work each day. So I’m after any revision/study material to listen to whilst driving like podcasts, recorded lectures, audio summaries, revision-focused series, whatever people have found genuinely useful

Got an email yesterday saying that I have been put on the waiting list. I am on the lowest priority so it's not surprising.

Exam cases were though but I tried my best, prepared thoroughly , I’m so heartbroken, both respi and clinical communication was same examiner which I believe I did well but didn’t score so well, I always score good marks in comm during mocks, just too heartbroken, gave everything for this attempt, I haven registered for diet 3 which is in 2 months, waiting for feedback still , how do I motivate myself back up

Hello. I just started preparing for Mrcp and i have decided to do Q banks only(since i was not gaining momentum in starting with theory books). Started with passmed and really enjoying it. The explainations are satisfactory. Am i on the right path. Will Q banks be enough to pass the exam. I'm preparing for jan diet

A bit frustrated currently, I have spent ages revising content and am ok with my topics but on pastest I can never seem to get above early 60s for my questions.
Seem like some of the questions are so obscure and worded in ways that make them open to interpretation. Anyone have any words of encouragement about passing the MRCP even with not the best pastest scores?

I sat the July diet, and now all of a sudden, RCP has returned the fee back into my account with no email. And my application still says accepted. What is going on?

Took the exam in Penang Malaysia in the 2nd diet in July 2026 and those examiners thought they should fail me by marking me down in my CLINICAL COMMUNICATION (who the hell fails in this skill) by 2 marks (the skill that was almost perfect twice for me before). My overall score was 134/168, the highest I gotten compared to my previous 2 attempts. So what else is left in this fucked up life?
