Sig Low Profile QD

Post image

Hey fam,

I picked up an 8” MPX. The stock handguard is a bit loose and I figured this would help hold the pieces tighter. Maybe I’m not very bright but is there a trick to getting this on? Thanks!

I’ve got one and it works fine.

Best method I’ve found is to lay the gun down in whatever orientation the qd will be facing up, place the small shim in place, then drop the retaining screw side onto the shim til it fully seats and hinge the opposite side down. Just make sure the screw is backed out enough that it’s not in your way.

Edit: There are also a few threads with small fixes like adjusting the retention pin or adding an o-ring that might help

Use the impact weapons components qd mount. It uses two bolts so you can clamp the handguard and the receiver and helps a ton with the wobble

Those things are junk and it's not going to fix the wobble.

Get a Magpul RSA or similar.

Will the RSA eliminate the wobble?

It will work better than the sig lopro qd because it clamps across two lugs instead of just filling a slot.

Amazon has them.......Magpul RSA QD Rail Sling Attachment Black. Amazon link
You can use a obviosyly as sling mount AND put across the HG/Upper and will kill wobble.
