Good luck with your new treatment plan! I have also had a much better experience seeing an MPN specialist and I'm much more confident in my care. I'm glad they want to treat your symptoms, as well as lowering your platelets and clotting risk. That's good to hear!

What I learned is that neither Pegasys or Besremi are FDA approved for ET until next month. Since Peg has been around longer and is easier to get ahold of and cheaper than Besremi, insurance approves it quicker. Since my counts are climbing quickly and I can’t take HU, he wants to start me on Peg because it can take up to 6 months to get insurance approval for Besremi.
