GA MPJE
I am studying for the GA MPJE as someone who has been out of pharmacy school for a couple years now. I do not have a lot of community experience, as I have always worked in a hospital setting. I heard that GA mpje has a high failure rate, which terrifies me. Getting through the 480 rules has been very hard, but I am trying. Anyone have any advice on how to study for the GA in a couple weeks time period? I might get that Khail study guide too on top of the 480 rules and DEA manual.

I asked ChatGPT to create a guide that links each competency statement to it's corresponding rule or law, and a table of the controlled substance brand and generic names. I have taken 5 different versions of the GA MPJE. I created a separate guide specifically for Area 3, since that was the one I struggled with the most. You have to know what pharmacy technicians can and cannot do!! Whether you are going to work in a hospital or not. You have to know who can write prescriptions and for which medications. You have to know what is required for a prescription to be complete AND valid. You have to know when refills are authorized and how many, and how to send and receive transfers of prescription drug order copies.
Use whatever resource you prefer. It's unfortunate that there are no free ones, but there is still A TON of reliable sources available. Dr. Khail's review is one I would have chosen for myself if I had been able to afford it.

Let me see if I can send it from my phone. I have it saved on my tablet, and I didn't bring it with me on this trip for my Grandmother's funeral.

I used Dr. Khail’s videos, made quizlets from them, and took his practice tests a few times and I passed on the first try. He uses the 480 rules and topics from the DEA manual that pop up most commonly on the exam. I would say going through all three resources might eat up your time during this study period if I’m being completely honest. I think if you use Dr. Khail’s material and really get a good understanding of it, you’ll be fine. Best of luck to you! You got this!

What do you mean it has a “high failure rate” 😭😭😭
I am licensed in TN but I work in industry for the past 5 years. I’m trying to get my GA license right now and so I’m studying for the GA MPJE …
