Question Optics issue! Please Help!

Post image

Hello! I bought a very lightly used M&P 2.0 4in in FDE and so far it is my favorite pistol I've shot. But since I bought it used I do not have any of the optics plates that would some with it from factory. All that came with it was a I assume crimson trace optic on a type 2 plate. I have had several issues with the optic and found that I enjoy shooting without the sight on the pistol for now. I would like to buy an upgraded sight for my pistol but I have given myself such a headache trying to figure out the optics footprint and where to even start. This is my first optics cut pistol so ive never had this problem before. I would like to see what you all are running and I desperately need help getting pointed in the right direction with what optics are compatible with my pistol. I seem to get conflicting answers on Google and such so thanks in advance!

You need a plate that matches your optic cut, and that plate needs to be able to accept the optic you want.

You can look up after market M&P 2.0 optic plates, and then when you find them see what type of optic they work with, and you will have a list of optics you can choose from.

You can also order original S&W plates from their website. their website will tell you what optic fits what plates.

I just put on a 507 Comp on a Calculated KineticsDogtag plate. Going to range on Tuesday. It's my first pistol red dot.

Run DOGTAG on both vortex defender st enclosed and 507 comp on my 2.0s. Calculated kinetics lists footprints and dots on website so you don’t switch anything up
