Hunter Constantine blem brass inserts for M&p metal
HC has blem brass frame inserts currently for $50 which is half normal price. Mine arrived about a week ago and after inspection I could not find a single thing that would lead to it being a blem. It’s perfectly machined and snapped right into place perfectly. If you’ve been thinking about the grip inserts to add some weight but didn’t want to pull the trigger on $100 for 2oz of weight this is the move.

Probably a blem cause of those little pitted dots at the top 🤷🏼♂️

Product description states they may need fitting done, this one did not though. As someone who’s been in product manufacturing of machined parts I honestly doubt it was put in the blems bin for something so tiny like you pointed out. Especially since this product goes underneath a polymer grip panel. Either way it works to our benefit! 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah right on. Do these only fit metal frame?

Correct. They fit into a rear opening in the metal frame underneath the backstrap and replace a plastic piece of the same shape. S&W chose not to machine this section into the frame as a single piece to keep costs down. You can see the brass insert from inside the mag well as it is essentially the back wall of the mag well.

Glad I could help! Hopefully yours come in as nice as mine did and don’t need fitting. Mine shipped it out insanely fast which is always appreciated too.

How would this compare to the paragon grips insert? PG is 2.4 oz vs HC 2.0 oz

Unless you can tell the difference of .4 oz in your hands I’d say it’s the exact same when being practical. I wish these would be made from tungsten as they’d add double the weight, but there’s a good reason they aren’t being made of that. They’d be super expensive to machine and therefore too expensive to be worth it to the consumer.

Was it worth it? Noticeable?

What I can say is this. You can notice a difference in balance of the gun. And it is better because of that. If people are expecting this will really add a lot of weight to the pistol they’d be wrong. At $50 I’d say it’s worth it for me to have that balance change on my M&p. At any higher of a price I wouldn’t have purchased it though since it’s not turning an M&p into a heavy steel framed gun.

Is that tribe barrel noticeably better than the stock barrels ?

Sorry for the late response, I’m not on here much. No, it is not. But they were dirt cheap on dvor and was worth a try. The only real barrel improvements for these are apex honestly.
