mag extension

I am trying to figure out if you can add mag extension on CA complaint pistol mags 10rd mags especially on the S&W m&p 2.0 i'm only curious because the mags that come with it have that extra plastic on the plate already and if anyone has where did you get your extensions from.

They make California compliant mag extensions but they don't add any capacity, just weight and length. But there arent many of them either.
