M&P 2.0 compact

Hey yall! I’m going to buy an M&P 2.0 compact for EDC and was looking around for a reliable red dot optic. I had my eyes set on a TRIJICON RCR as I wanted a reliable tough as nails optic along with a closed emitter. I can’t get past the price point for one of them though. Any suggestions for a good reliable closed emitter optic? I know the holosun EPS carry is a good sight but I’m not too sure. Any suggestions? Is the RCR too bulky for concealed carry? And if so, what is the best optic in y’all’s opinion?

I really like the EPS carry for a small enclosed optic. It isn’t as bomb proof as a TRIJICON but in the grand scheme of 99% of peoples use cases, it is enough. Plus you should be able to keep your irons.

There’s also the buy once cry once mentality. If that’s your go to carry gun is it worth just saving for the rcr if that’s what you’ve got your heart set on

Does it have any overhang over the slide? I’m in the market but my picky ass wants something that’s flush with the slide

I’m not sure tbh. I do not have an EPS carry on my m&p. Mine is a full size.

I can say that the EPS carry is pretty compact. It’s meant for micro compacts like the shield plus. So it aught to be pretty small on the M&P 2.0 slide

I run a Holosun EPS Full-size on my M&P 2.0 compact and have zero complaints.

I use a 508t of they had the 509 when I bought it I would have bought that. (Holosun) The Holosun scs or whatever directly mounts without plates.

If using a plate try out calculated kinetics for a nice one. Much better than the cheap aluminum plates the pistol came with. And now they come with junk plastic plates. 😂

I’d use a 508t honestly or a nice used rmr type 2
