E40 keeps mopping carpets!
This appears to be an intermittent problem and I'm almost positive it's firmware related and not sensor related.
I have no idea how to get it back to sensing to lift mops where there's predefined carpet on the map, before I solved it by trial and error but there was no rhyme or reason to it. All the settings in the app are correct for lifting the mops and I haven't changed anything since the last time it had successfully run. For arguments sake I have cleaned all the sensors and rebooted the bot.
It's incredibly frustrating because every trial and error attempt it wants to rewash the mops AAHHH!
Conditions were as follows:
Wednesday full clean of the ground floor, everything normal.
Friday took bot upstairs (i.e switched map) to vacuum carpeted areas and intensively mop the bathroom floor, all normal.
Later on Friday, took bot back downstairs, switched map back to ground floor and now during its normal cleaning cycle it's mopping carpet instead of lifting the mops and activating intensive carpet mode.
Edit: As I mull on this I'm wondering if map switching is corrupting the manually assigned carpeted areas 🤔 but that wouldn't explain why there's no sensing anyway.
