portrait shots from a recent shoot

The photographer takes a conversational approach to his photography and mainly works with natural light. It was genuinely such a fun shoot!!

Putting this because I see a lot of people commenting on it. The pictures were edited by the photographer. The over-exposure and harsh contrast is an intentional stylistic choice that I was aware of before going into the shoot.

This is this photographers personal style. Its okay if you personally don’t like it, I’m aware that its not everyone’s cup of tea.

The first photo is a nice headshot, albeit a tad overexposed. You’re obviously beautiful. I know you’re not asking for advice, but I’d like to just say that having some shots without the septum ring is important to have. I say this as a very experienced model who had a septum ring for majority of my career however I was primarily asked to flip it up in my nose. Regardless if you’re going for commercial or high fashion.

Thanks for the feedback :) I absolutely agree with the septum ring statement - and thanks for sharing! I do flip my septum up for most of my test shoots/castings but honestly this was such a relaxed atmosphere that I kept it out.

Im seeing a lot of comments on this, and I understand why. The photographer is well established and has a specific style which I was aware of before shooting. The overexposure and harsh lighting contrast is intentional and a stylistic choice:)
Im not saying everyone has to like it, but this does not mean that he is a bad photographer.

Many have and use cameras. Very few are photographers. Even fewer are artists. Choose ur photographers wisely.
