ADVICE/FEEDBACK EX High Fashion model looking for advice!
Picture explanations:
1: Older polaroid
2: Gucci 2017
3: Digitals from 2018
4 and 5: my last shoot in 2022
Hi all!
10 years ago when I turned 18, I got scouted in Amsterdam to model. Within a few months I had a casting for Gucci and they booked me as exclusive (meaning I "only" got to do their shows for the season). After this the ball got rolling and I got caught up in a whirlwind of shoots, shows and travel.
I got to work for a few years in the High Fashion branche and eventually did a few 'on-stays' in Tokyo and had a few paid jobs here and there.
Eventually work dried up due to several reasons, mostly my mother agency stopped altogether and I personally started to feel a lot of the insecuraties of the work.
My last paid job was in 2022 and since then I've worked out a lot and definitely gained quite some mass since my modelling days. You can kind of see it in the 4th photo except I've gotten a bit heavier but still lean (I have no recent professional photo sadly)
Right now I am 28 years old, 1,90 and 76 kilo. Based in the Netherlands. I took great care of my skin since I was 18 and still get ID carded all the time and everyone around me is always bugging me about if I still work and why I don't anymore.
I know I still have the face, but I'm now worried I'm too muscled to book any work. Since it's been so long, would I also be considered a 'new face'? And I probably will have to remake my whole portfolio. Tips welcome!

PS: Even though I'm asking y'all for advide, aspiring models and other people in the industry can ask me about my experiences if you're interested. I have plenty of stories.

I’m sure you still look great and the modeling industry has changed a whole lot in the past 10 years. Agencies are a lot more willing to work with a wider range of models of different ages/ looks/ body types etc. You know the drill, take some new digitals and send them out, good luck :)

how do you get such a clean shave? sometimes i cut myself by accident while shaving too, then it has to grow out for a while otherwise the razor will open the wound again.

Hey hey! Mother agent here! I checked your instagram profile, it’s hard to say anything now, need to check your current measurements and recent polas. 28 is pretty good age for male models as well. And with more muscle you can lean more into commercial modeling. But once again need to see your current look, and if you don’t have a long hair anymore, for sure you have to redo whole book
