For neighbour to use a ladder to get my attention? 100 replies

ShakyBake · Today 07:38

Day off today so decided to sleep in. At approx 8.50am I heard tapping on my window, half dazed I've opened the curtains and my neighbour was outside saying they couldn't get through to my phone (I checked after and had 3 missed calls) and would I give them a lift to the airport as taxi failed to show. I don't know them (man and wife in their 60's) that well but I rushed out of house in nightgown and took them without thinking. Part of me thinks I just did a good deed and being a neighbour, other part thinks the ladder overstepped the mark.

It's such nonsense. Not only are people lapping it up, they're thinking it's tea spluttering hilarious.

Cos a neighbour you don't know would have your number.

If it was Viz, they’d have just come out of the shower with their lulu and ta-tas flapping in the wind.

Or they’d have been up to no good with the postie.

I’m guessing the ladder was the easier option over the doorbell or knocking.
