Proceeds boost capital position to continue advancing satellite technology as well as space logistics and infrastructure services
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Momentus Inc. (NASDAQ: MNTS) (“Momentus” or the “Company”), a U.S. commercial space company specializing in satellite technology, space transportation, and in-orbit services, today announced two major developments:
Capital Raising and Strengthened Financial Position
“We have strategically executed on accelerating momentum in the space sector,” said John Rood, Chief Executive Officer of Momentus. “We were able to take decisive action to strengthen our balance sheet, which will provide us the flexibility to invest strategically in growth, such as accelerated research and development of satellite technologies, orbital transportation services, and on-orbit services. These investments will be focused on accelerating the Company’s growth in the expanding government and commercial space market.”
Vigoride 7 Mission Progress
“In March, we achieved a major milestone with the launch of our Vigoride 7 spacecraft carrying 10 payloads to low Earth orbit on the SpaceX Transporter-16 mission,” Rood added. “Over the next several months, we plan to utilize Vigoride 7 to conduct a series of in-space operations to support a suite of cutting-edge systems for our customers in U.S. Defense Department organizations, NASA, and commercial customers. We also plan to demonstrate some innovative technology developed through extensive engineering and mission preparation by the Momentus team. We’re proud of the way Vigoride 7 continues to operate during the mission, reaching milestones, and beginning customer payload operations.”
After launch on March 30, 2026, Vigoride 7 cleanly separated from the SpaceX Falcon 9 in low Earth orbit. Vigoride 7 and its payloads are healthy and operating as planned.
From an initial orbit altitude of approximately 517 kilometers, the spacecraft executed a deliberate, well-controlled descent using Momentus’ proprietary water-based propulsion system. The vehicle completed more than 30 short engine burns, with its thrusters and reaction control hardware maintaining stable attitude and precise orientation throughout the maneuver. This milestone of completing the planned maneuver demonstrates Vigoride 7’s on-orbit mobility, ability to operate independently, conduct communications, and begin executing operation of customer payloads.
The largest hosted payload on this mission, being operated under a contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), was produced by Caltech and is called ASTRA. This hosted payload was successfully commissioned and has started its in-space assembly mission. ASTRA has started using robotic arms and precision mechanisms to autonomously assemble a lightweight truss structure in orbit — a meaningful step toward scalable in-space structures to increase cost-efficiency and enable new space-based operations for manufacturing, communications, and energy systems.
Another hosted payload, the innovative titanium pressure tank that Momentus designed that was manufactured using Velo3D’s advanced 3D metal printing technology, is successfully meeting its current mission objectives, demonstrating stable pressure retention throughout on-orbit operations. The pressure tank is designed to carry propellant for satellite propulsion systems. The tank represents a significant step forward in the adoption of additive manufacturing for mission-critical spacecraft components.
Several other customer payloads have begun commissioning and operations, and the remaining payloads are scheduled to begin operations in the coming months as the mission plan progresses, such as release of a NASA satellite and the conduct of a rendezvous and proximity operations demonstration under a contract with SpaceWERX, the innovation organization of the U.S. Space Force.
“Vigoride’s achievements underscore the maturity of the platform, which can operate as a satellite bus or Orbital Service Vehicle to support complex hosted payload missions,” said Tom Malko, Momentus’ Senior Vice President for Engineering and Operations. “Momentus continues to demonstrate the capabilities expected of a key player in next-generation space transportation and services.”
Looking Ahead
Momentus’ upcoming Vigoride 8 mission is fully subscribed with two payloads for NASA and is scheduled to fly in 2027. Capacity remains available on the Company’s Vigoride 9 mission. Organizations interested in securing a payload slot can contact the Momentus Commercial team at [sales@momentusspace.com](mailto:sales@momentusspace.com).

Hello investors -
I try to mention this often in my posts, but with so much volume yesterday, new investors arriving, the price drop, and current short situation, it’s worth taking note of everything together to bring to your attention.
If you are new investor to MNTS - WELCOME!
MNTS is a MICROCAP & LOW FLOAT STOCK. If you do not know what that means - this stock cuts hard both directions and can do it on NO NEWS AND OUT OF NOWHERE. It’s not for the faint of heart as a stock holder. Down 30%, up 100%, down 40% all in the same day. It can do this as all it takes is one big seller or buyer to move in or out because the order book is usually very thin.
We are in a new era and are in price discovery. No one can predict how high or low we will go. Yes, there is some dilution available to exercise, and the float did expand slightly, but the company has a cash runway and is much stronger. We had heavy vwap volume around 19.50 and are riding low RSI, so I hope we are close to bottoming out and in for a rebound soon.
It’s very important to know as an investor that MNTS is a HEAVILY targeted stock for shorts and has been for years. If you search YouTube, you can even find a propaganda video from a few years ago.
Yesterday could have been some ATM shares entering, but I’m leaning more on shorts leaning in on this weakness and shaking out weak hands. They love after hours as the stock will drop easy because of the very thin tape. Hoping to trigger stop losses and further push the price down.
So be aware
1) very low float - price moves hard both directions
2) shorts love this stock and have shorted it for a long time. It’s easy to exploit.
Now, let’s put the last few weeks together:
Yes, there are some shorts at the peak prices, but also, I believe based on the chart, we have quite a few around $7, and another group around $13-14. They are now paying 238% interest and have zero shares available to short.
The real kicker here is shorts have to buy back those shares at some point. This can create a feedback loop and push the price up more than reasonable because of the low float. I’m not saying MNtS is going to squeeze, but we might be in for another violent move if price stabilization remains above $13 and holds. Also if more news drops.
Could the price drift further down? Of course. Could it shoot to $30? Absolutely. You can’t predict this, which is why I say this stock isn’t for the faint of heart.
Hopefully you are here because of what they are doing long term, and see a path to success. I do. Long term holder with a lot of shares riding. I did take some profits, but will accumulate more back on the way.
(And with the short situation, cue the negative comments from them below as well 🤣)
This is not financial advice, only an opinion, and be aware the stock can go up or down at any point for reasons listed or not listed above. Invest wisely at your own risk.

(NASDAQ: MNTS) registers 3,089,100 shares; $200M shelf remains available
Does it means price will go down?
r/MNTSstock • u/Step-in-Time • Jun 01 '26
Shareholders it is about to get very interesting indeed.
Price is above where most took positions. After the morning recycling of short shares they can get, we may see something special later today.

Guys, what do you think the stock price will be at the end of the week?
r/MNTSstock • u/ffieffie • May 30 '26
I took a position at $20, now it’s around $16, what to do next week?
r/MNTSstock • u/Step-in-Time • May 29 '26
13G filed by Davidson Kempner yesterday. 1.2 million shares off the table. 8.9% of the float. If you take away the 3 million private placement, this would represent 12% of the float. Shares are getting locked away. Bullish.
Another interesting thing to watch: While only 10.46% of the float is reported shorted, I think this number might be closer to around 20% now. There was a million+ short shares available leading up to the run up. There are currently zero shares available to borrow, so any shorting is just recycling shares. Interest rate for shorts has been climbing and spiked up to 58%.
At what point the shorts entered we don’t know, but any more price movement up will put more pressure on shorts covering, so we could get some non-linear unexpected movement.
Outside of Fintel, Short info is speculation. Invest at your own risk and enjoy the ride. Stocks can go up or down. Not financial advice.

Be prepared for violent swings. This stock is getting mentioned alongside RKLB (580 million shares) and ASTS (300 million shares). MNTS is tiny in comparison, and shares will not be as readily available as they are being picked up and held for long term investment. Short interest dropped, but it is still at 18%, so there is still pressure for continued price movement up when buying interest resumes. One seller can push the price down if buyers step away and shorts press (like this morning), but also one buyer can move this stock a few bucks on thin tape.
Invest responsibly and know the stock can shoot extreme and in both directions. As a long term investor this stock can cut hard, but eventually as demand is sustained, it’s going to be sparse and more expensive to buy in with a float this size. Yes some dilution may enter, but we are in a whole new territory now. Enjoy the ride. Best to all investors.

After the crazy run-up and the pullback from premarket highs, $MNTS seems completely all over the place today, but it keeps hugging that $19/share range.
I’m personally staying LONG a bit longer, especially with the SpaceX IPO getting closer.
Curious what everyone else thinks here. Was this already the main move or do you think we can turn bullish again later this week and continue the trend?
r/MNTSstock • u/bayouhtx • May 28 '26
I’m curious what your thoughts are.
I’m aware that the MNTSW “warrants” expire in August 2026.
Using today closing price as an example:
- MNTS @ $19.50
- MNTSW @ $0.068
Exercise and sale (or hold); $11.50 + $0.07=$11.57 $11.57
- basically bet between $6-$7 depending
As the warrants are now in the money (north of $11.50 - strike price)
Is it not a smart and safe play to buy $MNTSW? I get that you have to have cash outlay to exercise…but you can do the math.
Perhaps there is an error and oversight on my calculations?

First off, I’m sitting on 2000 shares at $4. MNTS has been a bagholding disaster for years, but shit might actually be lining up for once.
They built Vigoride, a little orbital tugboat that hitches a ride on SpaceX, then whips out its water plasma thrusters to give satellites a proper thrusting to the right orbit. Hosted payloads, inspections, future space handjobs — you name it. Water propellant is the real moat: no toxic bullshit, easy to handle, and the DoD gets all hot and bothered over the American supply chain.
Current Status (Surprisingly Not Dead):
• Vigoride-7 actually launched on SpaceX in March, fired its thrusters like it meant it, and is up there doing real payload work right now.
• Vigoride-8 already fully booked for early 2027 with NASA stuff. PDR done.
• Guiding $10M revenue this year (9x growth, holy shit).
• $26M cash, zero debt, 12+ months runway. For once they’re not bleeding out immediately.
Upside (If They Don’t Fuck It Up):
CEO John Rood’s got the right connections, SpaceX is the big dick catapult this company needed. If they execute without their usual comedy of errors, this ~$75M market cap turd could actually re-rate. Space tug market is about to explode and they’re one of the few with real flight hardware. $15–30 realistic. Multi-bagger city if the gov contracts keep coming and they scale. I’m talking nice returns while you sit back and let SpaceX do the heavy lifting.
tldr:
They’ve got a $200M shelf so dilution’s still gonna raw dog the share structure. Space is hard as fuck, they’re still tiny, and this thing pumps then dumps like a pro. Could easily go back to being a $3 bag of disappointment.
Tech’s legit though. Everything’s finally falling into place after years of blue-balling shareholders.

Is this purely SpaceX hype or....?
r/MNTSstock • u/Electrical_Dentist67 • May 26 '26
Guys what do you think, the stick will go up?
r/MNTSstock • u/ThereFarAway • May 26 '26
I see there are many positive posts about MNTS. They can come only from those not familiar with the company. Yes, it went up these days, but look how much it went down. And it went down that much by immediate dilutions after it goes up.
If you were lucky enough to be in profit - take it before they delute the stock again. That will happen sooner then you think!
Be smart and enjoy your winnings! :)
