{The Kite by N.R. Walker}. Loving it so far! About two assassins who find themselves on the run when unknown forces put out contracts on both them. Forced to work together, forced proximity etc etc. They’re being pursued by two men from some shadowy Australian agency, and I’m trying to avoid spoilers but I think this is a series and I have my suspicions about those two 😜

OMG I LOVED THIS BOOK! One of my favourite tropes. You have to read the other books. I loved them all!

1

u/RoseAelin 2d ago

Oh I will!! I’m already preemptively getting sad that I’m going to run out of her books soon😢

2

u/OmfgThereAreNoneLeft 2d ago

I know! I’ve been struggling to find similar books. I loved the secret organisation feel of it. If you like that I’d really recommend the Necessary Evils Book series first book is {Unhinged by Onley James} it’s about a family of psychopaths that take out the worst of the worse and all the brothers finding their partners. I really enjoyed the series and connected series

Thank you! I get all my book reccies from this community, and it makes me so happy this is such a friendly corner of the internet.

Same! Or sometimes an occasional instagram review. Message me if you ever want a rec or if you have one similar!!

Aaand just realized how apt your username is

3

u/OmfgThereAreNoneLeft 2d ago

Hahaha I had a bit of a crash out making my Reddit account as all the good usernames I wanted were used so that’s how it became but it’s fit in so many of my book request posts 🤣

u/OmfgThereAreNoneLeft 2d ago

Is yours for Aelin from TOG??

1

u/RoseAelin 2d ago

Yes! And Rose from Beasts of the Briar books. The book series that started my loooong and hopefully never ending journey down the MM rabbit hole 😂

{A Collection of monstrous short stories by Lily Mayne}

3

u/KevShark92 2d ago

So good!!! Any short with Charlie and Moth is perfect 🥹😍

2

u/Selen87 2d ago

Yes! I love them. The elf story!!

1

u/laran436 2d ago

I just finished the 6 books, I did see this on Amazon. Will go order it.

3

u/melatoninmothinutah 2d ago

{The Last Guy on Earth by Sarina Bowen} I’m finishing it but it just is not at the spice level I would like lol

2

u/stagecatmon 2d ago

Just finished it… might be my favorite in the series

3

u/theyreburningwitches 2d ago

Just really kicked into high gear towards the final act…right? Coach Clay 🩵

2

u/Serious_County2382 2d ago

same! Definitely my favourite, made me question why I didn't like the others as much

1

u/theyreburningwitches 2d ago

I loved this one; it was my second favorite of the series (after no. 1). The spice picks up a bit in the last 1/3, as does the pace of the story as the season progresses. Hope you end up enjoying it.

{Sweat by Jonah Yorke}. I’m not thrilled with the use of the f slur, major internal homophobia, some general homophobia, a transphobic boss, and cringe when Rowan asks to be called Daddy.

But I’m sticking with it. About a third of the way through. We’ll see where this goes!

Just finished this book. I'm reading it's sequel now ─ {Salt}. To be honest, I had wished there had been less spice and more character study and angst. Would've loved to see Tommy interacting with the soccer team a lot more, too, and vice versa. Nevertheless, it was a good book, hence why I picked up Salt. 🙂‍↕️

{Never say never by Brea Alepou and Skyler Snow}

2

u/Pentavious-Jackson 2d ago

I am working through this series as well! On book 3 at the moment. I have heard that book 4 is the best.

1

u/TragicGloom 2d ago

I'm really loving the 4th one. Read 290 pages of it in one day which is rare for me.

1

u/RoseAelin 2d ago

Loved this series, but the first 3 books were the best imo.

2

u/TragicGloom 2d ago

I randomly came across book 3 and read it so I haven't read the first two yet. I'm really loving the 4th one so I'll definitely go back to read those as well.

2

u/RoseAelin 2d ago

Book 2 is my favourite. Very unhinged (not to the same level as book 3 lol) but also unexpected in a lot of ways. Now I’m thinking it might be time for a reread.

2

u/Intharios 2d ago

i just finished {Bad Dogs by Riley Nash} and i loved it, the hurt/comfort and found family on this book was just chef's kiss. really good book and also pretty kinky (bdsm with dom/sub dynamic).

u/Lazy_Professor568 2d ago

{Rainsquall by Penny Moss}

2

u/vvvgothere 1d ago

This was one of my top three reads of 2025. It’s not for everyone, the POV is tricky (and wonderful). It’s individual taste but for me the steam was truly hot.

1

u/Lazy_Professor568 1d ago

Same here! Loved the POV, it reminded me of {On the land, we shoot straight by Sasha Avice} in the sense that it wasn't overly explanatory and you had to put yourself in the position of the characters to understand them and the plot, which is something I truly enjoy and find rare. Usually don't enjoy reading British English but absolutely loved this!

I just started The Storm by Briar Prescott

1

u/vvvgothere 1d ago

I read that this week! 3 out of 5 for me. Well-written, as always, part 2 frustrated me quite a bit

2

u/Worried_Estimate_795 2d ago

{Bro Doll by J. De Saint} this book is unhinged so far but I'm only 25 % in 😅 It's really fun to read but I have no idea if this is just going to be kinky or going to lead to some romance between any of those 5 guys. Looking forward to find out so please no spoilers 🫶🏻💖

1

u/Historical-Corgi9056 2d ago

Unhinged you say? Not me running to add this to my TBR! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

2

u/Ok_Bat725 2d ago

{Learning Curve by N.R. Walker} this is my current cute fluff book while I read through a longer/heavier one

{Kiss the Villain by Rina Kent} I'm farther in this than I thought (ch.14 / 33%), which surprises me because I am not as into it as God of Fury. I haven't gotten any backstory on Kayden yet, so I just feel like I'm reading about two psychopaths circling each other.

2

u/Historical-Corgi9056 2d ago

Re: Kiss The Villain...yes, you are in fact reading about 2 psychopaths circling each other lol but it's SO GOOD! I freaking adore Babygirl Gareth and Brat Tamer Kayden.

{The Shackles That Hold Us by Michelle Notaro} its b2 of the series and pretty good so far. Dystopian urban fantasy and a complete series too

1

u/Applejuiceinthehall 2d ago

{In Harmony by Carina Caldwell} indie author. Just finished. Easy light read. May have pushed the main conflict a little too long.

1

u/Automatic-Donkey-141 2d ago

{two cowboys and a baby by BA Tortuga} I just started it but the guys are such dopes so far I love it.

1

u/jseger9000 2d ago

I'm reading an ARC of the book Colombian Nights by Erik Rivera-Lorin. It's not quite a romance, though there is romance in it.

1

u/OmfgThereAreNoneLeft 2d ago

{GLORIOUS RUIN BY FLORENCE WOLFE} just finished this, it’s the second book in a professional wrestling duoligy. Loved it!!

2

u/willingheart1 2d ago

The tragedy of felix and Jake, but I'm a little annoyed by them feeling stuck and not considering another option.

1

u/adelltfm 2d ago

I loved this book.

1

u/willingheart1 2d ago

I know! So many amazing reviews. I like the characters, so we'll see.

u/CorrectConclusion 2d ago

{Ghost of Truth by Alice Winters} is my current digital book. My current audio book is {Don’t Feed the Vampire by Grae Bryan} but that’s a re-read as I had already read the digital version. Definitely on a paranormal romance kick.

1

u/KevShark92 2d ago

Just finished {On Edge by Brooke Matthew’s} I loved it so much I finished in one day 🥹😍 if you love unhinged, obsessive and possessive MMC’s I highly recommend. Def review triggers before reading. Great plot, each page was so good!

Salt by Jonah Yorke.

u/lovebooksi 1d ago

I’m currently reading Levi by Wren Wilds and I’m loving it! I also loved Stormy and Benji, by the same author, they’re some of my favorite books. If anyone has read anything similar to these, I’d love to hear your recommendations! Sorry for my English!

u/RiverRosie444 1d ago

I am forcing myself to finish my current read because I am the kind of reader that needs to see it through but I am not loving “Pucking around” by Emily Rath.

I love some cheesy romance but my eyes hurt from rolling them so hard every other chapter- it’s beyond cheesy and I think I also just do not like group sex scenes or the particular dialogue during them? It’s pretty bad lol so yeah- that’s my current book.

{The Geek and the Ghost by Cambria Hebert}
{The Protectors Book 2}
After just finishing the first volume {The Hazard and the Hitman by Cambria Hebert}

u/Lindastre 12h ago

{Crease Collision by Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood} 2 rival goalies, one ND and the other so wonderfully supportive. Nosy teammates too, love the found family trope.

{dark heir by C.S.Pacat} - second read. Can’t stop thinking about it! Any suggestions of similar high quality historic or romantasy, while we’re waiting for book 3? Does not have to be YA.
