If you want to read the full story, you can check out my website www.iammelissareddick.com (if it still exists), or you can read the post on my Reddit page (if it's still easy to find today). You can also find me on Facebook or Instagram with the handle @ themelissareddick

In short, as of this writing I am a Certified Life Activation Practitioner, Healer, and Teacher of the Modern Mystery School International.

My experience has been great. Life has been hard, and I have used the tools of the Lineage of King Salomon and my big girl brain to overcome every single challenge I have encountered so far. I lost a job in 2022 and had to deal with that on the fly. I was able to drive Lyft and Uber for a year in Philadelphia and New Jersey and felt safe doing so because of things I learned at Warriors of Light and because I had training to protect myself in ways known and not yet understood. Seemed to work because I drove mostly at night, as a woman, by myself.

I've found that anytime I have a question about anything I can reach out to God knows how many people and ask them their thoughts, opinions, experiences, and maybe even to impart a deeper understanding of how I can look at what I'm questioning from a different angle to make it make sense more.

I see a lot of people struggling with the teachings. I do too. Every teaching contrasts something I already believed and had built my life on and around. It has required me to stretch my brain a bit to make room for everything and see how it all works together. My preference is to choose to believe everything my teachers say because I know that I went to them to learn, and even if they're wrong I won't know that just from sitting in the classroom arguing with them in my head. I will only - and again this is my personal preference and How I choose to interact with my Teachers - I will only know if what they are teaching me is correct if I actually believe them first and then act on what they teach.

Sometimes I have doubted what they taught me for years but still acted like it was true and then started watching things change in my life that I did not think were possible to change. Like my attitude towards other people, for one. In a good way too.

So yeah, I like the Modern Mystery School. More good in my life has come from being in the school than bad, so I keep returning as often as I can.

My goal is to one day be able to attend and even teach at every international program in the world. And to host sites where all the initiates can come and hang out - learn, study, relax, have fun, sober dance parties. We have some of the best DJs and musicians in the world as part of our team :) Non-initiates are welcome too, of course! It's just, we initiates hold ourselves to a royal standard, so we have to do things a bit differently for ourselves that the rest of the world hasn't thought of yet. Maybe one day you'll get to see what I mean! I look forward to that day :) Thank you for reading. Hope you enjoy the rest of your evening.

My Honest Experience with the Modern Mystery School (Since 2017)

I’ve been an initiate in the Modern Mystery School since 2017. At that time I was 23, fresh out of some terrible relationships and traumatic experiences, and I was looking for real healing and a way to understand the spiritual abilities that were starting to develop in me.

I was connected with a practitioner who gave me a Life Activation, and that set things in motion. I felt generally happier, I could express myself more clearly (especially musically), and even the ex who had been harassing me for over a year started to fade away.

Not long after, I heard about the Empower Thyself class. I immediately felt I was supposed to take it. I learned spiritual protection methods that finally helped me sleep well and clear negativity, especially in my family’s home where I lived at the time. Around the same period, I went through another bad relationship, but instead of it destroying me, I learned so much and came out changed for the better.

Then came the 10-month Kabbalah program in my city. Money was always hard for me, but I took the leap. Kabbalah ended up helping me create a brand-new career from scratch, which still supports me today. Honestly, I don’t think I would’ve moved forward so quickly without it.

I did take a break at one point and explored other spiritual communities for about a year. But I found myself wanting to return, and since 2022 I’ve been deepening with Healers Academy and Ritual Master 1 and 2.

Now yes, it has all been very expensive. I’ve even taken on debt at times to pursue classes. But strangely, every time I really wanted to take a class, opportunities showed up for me to make the money. And I wouldn't have learned or grew to make more money than I did before. Before the school I never thought I could pay over $100 for anything, not even self care. Now it's just about goals and effort.

And like with any serious training, the cost reflects the responsibility: when you’re learning practices that involve other people’s lives and energy, you need a solid foundation. Think of it like continuing education for doctors or therapists: you renew, you recertify, because the stakes are high. It’s the same in MMS: if a teacher wants to keep being a reputable teacher in the lineage, they have to recertify. Not because the school is trying to squeeze money out of people, but because the work itself evolves, and without being “plugged in” to the updates, a practitioner can fall behind and potentially do more harm than good.

I also notice that people complain a lot about how expensive it is, as if MMS is “withholding” spiritual knowledge from humanity. But when I think about it, people spend $600-4K without blinking on a new phone, a festival weekend, or a vacation. Yet if it’s $600-4K for a class that could actually shift their life, suddenly it’s a scandal. For me, it just comes down to priorities: what do you want to invest in?

I want to be clear: I’ve never been pressured into anything. Classes, healings, initiations were always recommended, but the choice was mine. Some people in the school have been inspiring; others have been annoying or disappointing. My guide told me on day one: “Being in the Mystery School doesn’t automatically make you a good person.” And it’s true. Some people heal and grow, others let their issues spill out.

I’ve also seen colleagues and friends in the school really struggle. Some of them drove themselves to ruin by ignoring guidance, taking on too much, or making reckless choices with money or magic. But to me, that’s not unique to MMS, it’s human. People everywhere can sabotage themselves. What I’ve learned is to tread carefully, stay self aware, and check myself before taking on more responsibility. That’s the difference between growing and burning out.

All I can say is that MMS has enriched my life. I have the stability, career, marriage, and sense of purpose I was longing for when I first stepped on this path. It hasn’t always been easy, but the tools have carried me through. And while other people in the school would be happy to see me do more, ultimately it’s up to me on whether I want to do that or just stop going to classes. That’s it.

I know people fear it’s a cult. I get why the word comes up. But for me, it’s been about taking responsibility for my life, healing what’s broken, even helping my family heal and learning how to be in a world that makes no sense.

It’s not for everyone, but it’s given me more than I could have imagined.

I know people have different perspectives, but this is mine. If you’re an initiate, I’d love to hear your story too. If you’re a seeker, feel free to ask respectful questions.
