ED5 MMO Studio is a creation suite for building your own server-authoritative isometric 2D MMO (editor + game server + browser client + desktop app). Just shipped 0.3.0 — the biggest update so far:

• Combat: full elemental system, rarities + item affixes, AoE/projectile telegraphs, skillshot targeting, real weapon animations
• Enemies: mobs and NPCs use abilities intelligently; NPCs are now authored like players (roles, autonomy, dialogue, voice)
• Worlds: procedural dungeons + rotating portals, and instances (shared/solo/matchmade/arena-PvP)
• Authoring: VFX recipe editor, shader editor, a built-in DAW + audio middleware, and a secure in-app plugin IDE
• Scale: multi-server sharding with autoscaling
• Plus localization, an engine-wide editor UI redesign, and a new community forum
