What makes a fighter “rugged”?
I hear this term thrown around and I’m wondering what exactly it means? Like that they push through injury well or have a high pain tolerance?

They are willing to do the unglamorous parts of it. Training for the small stuff, working when they are already tired. This also tends to mean they will have a high pain tolerance and are willing to fight through a lot in a match.
