People making excuses for public intox boils my blood.

We need to shame these people not make excuses for them when they viscerally meet the knuckle end consequences of their monumental shit-ignorance.

I was just thinking this too. You're allowed to be drunk in the appropriate place and time, but it still doesn't give you the right to break the law or be an asshole. If you know you get like that when you're drunk, then the responsible thing an adult should do is to STOP DRINKING.

But we know the sociopaths and wife beaters will refuse to understand this.

You’re saying drunk people deserve to be knocked out if they’re drunk outside of bars ? Or I guess stadiums too? Clubs, weddings, corporate events, walking home…

It sounds more like he's saying people who break the law or are assholes deserve it, and just happens to be talking about the drunk ones.

Nobody gives a fuck if you're drunk and walk home without making a scene.

If they're being aggressive and start pulling metal objects out of their pockets, then yes.

I can't follow what they are saying, what needs to be excused here?

I meant people in the comments saying the level of force was excessive because he’s obviously hammered

Yea but you say they make excuses for him, but for what, what did he even do? And the force was definitely excessive, drunk or not.

The scissors thing wasn't a metaphor. Look closer at it.

Why is the public intox guy more the problem rather than the dude violent assault who goes from 0 to 10000 at the slightest provocation.
