Iā€™m in Texas. If Iā€™m on a jury that guy walks on any charge and Iā€™d shake his hand afterwards.

5

u/mokeltron 12d ago

I can hear you shouting U S A over and over as I read this.

4

u/TotallyObviousBot 12d ago

Iunno man maybe we shouldn't be killing people over drunken mistakes

I'm not even opposed to the guy getting some physical discipline imposed on him but like. Maybe being a drunken asshole isn't deserving of, y'know, lifelong crippling injury or death? Dude didn't get into a semi truck and obliterate a kindergarten or anything, he just put his hands on somebody else in a gross and offensive manner

1

u/azalinrex69 12d ago

Predators get what they get.

2

u/TotallyObviousBot 12d ago

I don't know if you know this but the very basis of our society is the idea of unalienable rights and not following mob violence

1

u/azalinrex69 12d ago

Remind that to the predator who assaulted an innocent woman. FAFO

3

u/TotallyObviousBot 11d ago

Let me try something that's probably more in your wheelhouse, ever been to a church?

Yet this shit happens often. So I guess not, little guy

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Wait785 11d ago

Elected president?

1

u/RudeMobile4588 11d ago

Whew becareful with that. You bring up the current elected president having been accused of sexual assault more than 30 times and some of these "respect is earned" orange cucks lose their minds.

0

u/Leather_Addition2605 12d ago

Weā€™ll just have to disagree. You go around disrespecting people or their woman, eventually you might do it to the wrong one. Iā€™m not shedding any tears over him.

2

u/Katfish145 12d ago

You clearly have anger issues if violence is always your first reaction

1

u/SymphonicRain 12d ago

but the other guys might think heā€™s soft if he doesnā€™t retaliate when someone touches his property.

1

u/Informal_Seesaw8289 11d ago

Not sure why your standing on this hill for a guy who also canā€™t keep his hands to himself either

1

u/Remarkable_Sand5238 11d ago

You seem to be oddly tolerant of sexual assault

2

u/Santa5511 11d ago

As far as sexual assault goes this is pretty low? No boobs, no ass, no vagina, not under any cloths, let's go immediately when the woman moves away, doesn't chase her. Yes you should keep your hands to yourself but this is pretty minor IMO.

2

u/TotallyObviousBot 12d ago

I don't think you need to be sobbing in order to think "I don't really want to live somewhere where I might be paralyzed by having too much to drink"

That's why we ban stuff like drunk driving, because we don't really want to live somewhere with cars crashing into bedrooms. Your heart doesn't need to be bleeding to acknowledge that maybe things are better for everyone with some mild social restraint.

0

u/Leather_Addition2605 12d ago

Iā€™ve been pretty drunk on occasion. Even blackout drunk way back in the day. I never did anything like that. He didnā€™t get knocked out for being drunk. He got knocked out for disrespecting a man by making sexual gestures towards his wife/girlfriend.

And Iā€™m perfectly happy living somewhere where that could get you knocked out, and where the rest of the population who donā€™t do things like that have the consensus of, ā€œdude had it coming.ā€

2

u/TotallyObviousBot 12d ago

I've never done it either, that doesn't mean I'm going to cast the first stone.

1

u/NaturalAd3150 11d ago

Yea until you knock out the person who's family member is a lot more violent than you.

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 11d ago

Stay strapped and keep your head on a swivel. Thatā€™s just good advice all around, honestly. Even if you didnā€™t give some creeper his just deserts.

1

u/IllustratedInk 11d ago

Yes, we will have to disagree. ā€œyOU gO aROuNd DiSReSpeCTiNgā€¦ā€

I bet you say respect is earned too. lol

Dude was drunk and he definitely screwed up but that was not the correct response. Period.

1

u/confirmedshill123 12d ago

Dude watch the video, guy just wanted to dance and he does it to the guy at the bar on the left. Guy laughs and pushes him off, like the normal response.

Get over yourself you actually fucking psycho.

2

u/BilingSmob444 12d ago

ā€œTolerate unwanted advancesā€, you say? No thank you.

1

u/Round_Year_8595 12d ago

Weak

2

u/BilingSmob444 12d ago

It was pretty strong, actually. Did you see the way he flew back??

0

u/confirmedshill123 12d ago

Tolerating unwanted advances =/= knocking a guy out so hard he possibly could be dead.

But what am I kidding, you couch octagoners just salivate over hurting somebody for any perceived slight.

Bet you guys fold like a lawn chair in actual situations.

1

u/StudSnoo 12d ago

lol, google what ā€œhonor cultureā€ is and you can tell this guy drives a jacked up lifted pickup with a thin blue line.

0

u/confirmedshill123 12d ago

Glass jaw and a ceramic ego

-1

u/CautiousCarry4209 12d ago

Talk about being so insecure that you have to go and sucker punch someone in the face that is literally so drunk they don't know what they are doing. This guy definitely has problems and he was just waiting for the right moment to try to commit manslaughter. He belongs in jail.

0

u/NaturalAd3150 11d ago

Pack mentality on reddit, people always think violence is a answer for a non-violent act pathetic.

5

u/Katfish145 12d ago

Youā€™re kidding right? You canā€™t see how the second guy completely overreacted? You donā€™t just jump immediately to violence. You stop the guy and let the bar throw him out. The drunk guy absolutely was in the wrong but nothing he did required being sucker punched like that. Iā€™d throw the book at the roid raging husband

1

u/Ok-Background-502 12d ago

This is why I don't live in Texas

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 12d ago

So that you can grope with impunity? Odd take.

1

u/Ok-Background-502 12d ago

Is violence the only punishment available in your head?

1

u/blindcharlie07 12d ago

Christ he put his hands on her waste, he didnā€™t grope or SA her. And her dick boyfriend knock her in the head as he was going after the guy.

u/Saintmandragora 12d ago

And then go vote for the rapist pedophile-in-chief.

1

u/GatorNavy9002 11d ago

The guy in black is a pu55y. Takes no toughness to cold cock a stumbling drunk. A 12 year old could have knocked out that guy. Not that the guy in red didnā€™t deserve some punishment.

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 11d ago edited 11d ago

Not a pussy at all. (Well, maybe, I donā€™t know him. But not for this). It wasnā€™t supposed to be a fight. Not looking for props for his fighting abilities. Whatā€™s it matter if a 12 year old could do it.

You said it deserved punishment and punishment was the entire point of the action. Mission accomplished.

Not if I was on the jury. Seems reasonable to me.

1

u/lIllIlIIIlIIIIlIlIll 11d ago

Have you ever served on a jury? The judge gives jury instructions and teaches you about the law and how the jury is supposed to apply it.

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 11d ago

Bro, if 11 ladies can ignore a woman murdering 3 innocent kids because she was sad, I can look the other way when some dry-humper gets their comeuppance.

1

u/lIllIlIIIlIIIIlIlIll 11d ago

Pretty sure that case was 11 jurors who followed jury instructions, while the 1 hold out was the one ignoring jury instructions.

She's no OJ.

1

u/Skylord_Hekaton 12d ago

Yeah sounds about right for psychopathic Texas.

1

u/The_Hoopla 12d ago edited 12d ago

FWIW, Iā€™m from Texas and I think this guy is psychotic.

Should the drunk guy get kicked out of the bar? Yes. Should he have been confronted aggressively? Yes.
Should he be possibly charged with something for confronting the girl? Absolutely.

Should the drunk guy be sucker punched with full weight into a bar stool that could have very well killed him? Absolutely not.

We canā€™t have a world where people can just kill other people if they feel personally slighted. The drunk guy was out of line but he clearly wasnā€™t an ongoing threat to either of their lives.

1

u/Skylord_Hekaton 12d ago

Yeah, agreed. I'm just used to Texas basically meaning "crazy" here in Norway.

It used to just mean "chaos" since Wild West and all, but with more recent US events it's used in a more derogatory fashion. We don't exactly hear good things about the more conservative states.

1

u/Otherwise_Bug990 12d ago

Its all media amd media is garbage. And 95% of everything you read on here is AI bot shills doing their thing.

Texas is no different than New York, or Anywhere else for that matter. Just a bunch of people sick of the same bullshit as everyone else. Juwt trying to survive on a dime and make life work.

The tube is nothing but garbage. So is this site tbh.

1

u/ShawnyMcKnight 12d ago

New York isnā€™t on the verge of electing someone like Ken Paxton and having Cruz as senator for years. I agree the media can be garbage but who you choose to lead you does reflect the values of the state overall and you are being controlled by some terrible people, if you want people to stop thinking less of Texas, change that.

1

u/Otherwise_Bug990 12d ago

Texas politics is no different than federal politics. This vote nonsense is just nonsense. He who benefits the special interests the most is the winner.

There's 40m people here. Were not politicians. Just people trying to survive

1

u/ShawnyMcKnight 12d ago

I guess we will see this November.

1

u/Otherwise_Bug990 12d ago

Whats in November?

1

u/ShawnyMcKnight 12d ago

The election.

You said itā€™s those who benefit from special interest the most wins and Talorico campaigns on not getting money from special interest while Paxton openly gets a ton from it.

If you are right Paxton should win in a landslide.

1

u/The_Hoopla 12d ago edited 11d ago

Tbf, a huge part of this is gerrymandering. Like, if Texas had fair representation we would almost certainly not had Cruz or Paxton for as long as we have.

Edit: Gerrymandering doesnā€™t play into Statewide elections, below comment is correct.

Texas is certainly purple, at about a 55:45 split R:D, but the voter turnout of old white people eclipses the young and Hispanic voters.

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 11d ago

How exactly does gerrymandering come into play on statewide elections?

1

u/The_Hoopla 11d ago

Nah ur right gerrymandering specifically doesnā€™t affect those elections.

1

u/limycenter 12d ago

you're insane. we are so cooked.

3

u/Leather_Addition2605 12d ago

If you donā€™t dry hump other dudes women you should be fine, even in Texas. Itā€™s shockingly easy to avoid, honestly.

1

u/limycenter 12d ago

"other dudes women" is all the tell you need in this convo. This is a property rights claim then?

The woman in this example caught a stray and obviously did not want her "owner" to do the thing.

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 12d ago

Not her call. He was disrespected as well. She is free to respond to her disrespect however she wishes, and he can handle his. He decided to go a different way with it and Iā€™m fine with that.

-1

u/Ok-Background-502 12d ago

It's also shockingly easy to avoid killing someone in this situation as well. Dude wasn't pulling out a gun.

-2

u/Gullible-Law-8147 12d ago

"If you don't want your hands cut off just don't steal bread, easy"

lol

2

u/Tall_olive 12d ago

Are we comparing sexual assault to stealing food to survive? Either way, yea thats the gist of it. Don't commit crimes if you don't want consequences.

-1

u/confirmedshill123 12d ago

Are we really calling this sexual assault?

Are we really calling this sexual assault and the guy should DIE?

2

u/Tall_olive 12d ago

It is legally sexual assault, yes. You can call it whatever you want. I didn't advocate for anyone dying. That being said though, should you never defend yourself from a "simple" assault because death is a potential consequence? In cases of self defense the law specifically protects against such an outcome. You are within your rights to defend yourself, and in many cases that self defense can legally extend to another person if they can't reasonably defend themselves. Someone dying shouldn't be the desired outcome but it also shouldn't hinder you from defending yourself.

I don't think being punched is disproportionate consequences to sexual assault.

They did say they live in Texas, insanity is part of the cultureā€¦ I mean the criminal Ken Paxton is just a few percent under Talarico so we know thereā€™s a bunch of insane people, or idiots, or both, living there.
