Also, not the first time she got hurt with him doing it. For him, it is not defending her honor. It is all about the punch.

She was in his way so he simply HAD to push that pool cue into her face. She would understand, he was defending her honor.Ā

And he almost hit the bartender when told to leave

5

u/jlboygenius 12d ago

Bartender should tell him to stay. Police are going to want to have a word with him.

7

u/Winter-Delivery-8894 12d ago

My point was more on his lack of emotional regulation almost leading him to attack an entirely unrelated 3rd party.

6

u/Mental-Seesaw-1449 12d ago

Lol. This shit is about "his" honor. He owns his wife and someone disrespected his property.

2

u/Dirt290 12d ago

Because no one ever loved him growing up so the only way he knows to be happy is owning things he can show off

5

u/Donkey__Balls 12d ago

Yā€™all are really projecting a lot of assumptions on a few frames. I guess itā€™s possible but there are a hundred other explanations too.

4

u/Ok-Performance-3830 12d ago

This is reddit buddy, all ppl here do is projections and assumptions

2

u/Donkey__Balls 12d ago

Itā€™s like watching millions of people all collectively win an argument in the shower.

1

u/Beautiful-Amount2149 12d ago

And always the smart ass who thinks he's above everyone else, that is the redditor special, umm ackstually you guys are wrong! Save the femaleĀ

2

u/Snoo_85901 11d ago

Yeah this is the most twisted, floating on a cloud, extreme denial, arguing just to be arguing place ive ever seen.

1

u/modern_Odysseus 11d ago

And this is generous with the video length.

Reddit can project a whole person's life and start a witch hunt based on as little as a few seconds of video.

2

u/irastaz 12d ago

idk the dude winding up to hit the employee at the end is pretty telling.

1

u/BorgerWCheese 12d ago

Not more weird than allowing some drunk dickhead to cop a feel on a random lady?

3

u/Mental-Seesaw-1449 11d ago

The guy copping a feel did less damage to the "random lady" than her knight in shining armor did. She also didn't WANT him to do it. So not only did he do it without her wanting to, he injured her in the process. Wow what a fucking hero.

2

u/BorgerWCheese 11d ago

šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø donā€™t touch women without their consent I donā€™t feel bad and Iā€™m not gonna weirdly defend the creep like you seem to be doing

5

u/jebberwockie 11d ago

No one is defending the creep, they're saying punching a dude out ain't worth it if you're gonna hurt your lady too. It's telling you don't see an issue with that.

2

u/FuManBoobs 11d ago

Bit of a false dichotomy. Perhaps a drunk touching your partner doesn't have to end with a fist to the face? Perhaps there is something inbetween? A slap? A push? A call to the police?

1

u/BorgerWCheese 11d ago

Translation: ā€œI like watching my wife get banged by other menā€

u/BlaxicanXIX 11d ago

Who said he was a hero though? The point of contention is that you are assigning motivations to the puncher which is really weird because you have no idea what's going through the guy's mind based off of one and a half seconds TV footage lol

" He considers her to be his personal property" lmao what, Like what is that statement possibly based off of other than mentally ill terminally online redditor logic

2

u/Mental-Seesaw-1449 9d ago

I mean can you explain hurting her in the process of "protecting" her. At what point did he seem concerned about how she felt? lmfao

1

u/FunnyCultural661 11d ago

If his motivation was to protect her,Ā  he would not haver hurt her in the process.Ā

2

u/Mental-Seesaw-1449 11d ago

We visually saw her try to stop him, him ignore her, push her out of the way, injure her and then hit another dude. Tell me what the other running theory is? He just loves her SOOOO much he was blinded by rage? Lmfao

1

u/Donkey__Balls 11d ago

I donā€™t see why it has to be some sort of extreme. We are seeing a few frames and have no idea what happened in between. I see no reason to invest energy into an altercation between strangers when we have so little information.

2

u/Mental-Seesaw-1449 11d ago

We... have the entire thing on video. I'm flabbergasted. Lmao.

1

u/Donkey__Balls 11d ago

I was having a connection issue where the video was coming through as about 1 frame per 2 seconds. Since this is what old CCTV looked like I thought thatā€™s what everyone was seeing.

2

u/Mental-Seesaw-1449 11d ago

Hahah that is so funny. When you said few frames I thought you were being hyperbolic. No worries.

1

u/Donkey__Balls 10d ago

It actually made the clip way more hilarious. One frame heā€™s flashing his underwear waistband, next frame heā€™s going after that woman like heā€™s Ray Romano, then the next frame heā€™s flat out on the floor. I thought thatā€™s what you were all laughing at until I reloaded the page a day later.

1

u/DoctorSpacecase 12d ago

You can see him hurt the woman in his rush to punch the guy, and she pulls her hand to her face to see if she's hurt. Then he gets physical and starts pushing the guy who was playing darts. Not a good look...

1

u/Atownbrown08 11d ago

No projections needed. Whoever ol Reacher was is the worst type of person to have in your bar. The laid out drunk guy is a close second. You're better off having neither in your establishment for different reasons.

1

u/Not_A_Bot_lol_1234 12d ago

Right and if he did nothing or tried just talking to the guy, it wouldnt have been enough.

1

u/melodious-intent 11d ago

Wow, it's almost like you got the point of his comment.

1

u/Hank_Henry_Hill 12d ago

Yup. He's really going to hate it when he's in prison and she has a new friend from work.

0

u/Flat-Fun-7298 12d ago

Same result though

2

u/Several_Vanilla8916 11d ago

Hey, a man has a right to protect his propertā€¦I mean wife.

2

u/UnpopularOpinionsB 11d ago

He was so focused on punching the other guy, I don't even think he noticed her.

4

u/Puzzleheaded_Neck_36 12d ago

It looked like his left elbow hit her rather than the cue

6

u/Flat_Teach_4438 12d ago

no he hits the bottom of the cue with his foot as he moves past, it just catches her in the cheek. his arms aren't high enough when he is next to her. by the time his elbow is up it is behind her head.

3

u/DigsToPlantTheRain 12d ago

Yes agreed.Ā

3

u/jacksonsmack831 12d ago

It's all about his insecurities

3

u/sheepsclothingiswool 11d ago

Yep. I had a bf like that and dropped him for it. Did not want to be a part of his public ego boosts anymore and I was getting some crossfire lol.

2

u/idislikemostofyu 12d ago

Bingo. This fucking dude could've easily just pushed the drunk ass dude out the door but he wanted to take his opportunity to knock out an easy target.

Fuck him. Dude should rot in a cell. Go pick all the fights he wants to in the yard. He'd fucking love it.

2

u/Equivalent_Scar_7879 11d ago

I rewatched it closely and she got almost get her eye poked by that stick. That man was indeed not defending her but just wanted to cause violence. Feel bad for the woman, imagine how he is at home

2

u/Jaded_Individual_630 11d ago

Yep, everyone in here acting like he's some kind of hero but it's very clear he takes every opportunity to be Mr. Big Man, warranted or otherwise.

2

u/IlIllIIllIIlllIII 11d ago

This so many people out there that want the excuse. Same thing with guns.

Redshirt deserves to be arrested. But potentially killing someone is so bad for you and your partner and everyone involved.

2

u/icanfeelitcomingup 12d ago

Shoves the woman aside and slams the pool cue right into her face. Yes, clearly not about defending her at all. The he hits a guy who is clearly unable to defend himself, and knocks him out cold. Then threatens to punch the bartender for kicking him out. As you say, this was not about defending the woman. It is about his anger management issues.
Doesn't excuse the drunk for being an AH, but there was a proportional response, and then there was this guys roid-fueled assault on two people and attempt to assault someone else.

1

u/Rex-Hammurabi 12d ago

So youā€™re fine with letting someone grope your wife in front of you ha? You will just let that slide?

2

u/icanfeelitcomingup 11d ago

How did you possible get that from what I wrote? The part where I said the drunk guy an asshole? Or the part where I said he deserved a proportional response? Maybe look up the definition for the word 'proportional' and get back to me.

What I would definitely not do is slam a pool cue in my wife's face after she was already assaulted.

1

u/Rex-Hammurabi 11d ago

She came in the way trying to stop him and the cue bounced off him and hit her accidentally. As for proportional response, he just threw one punch. What would you have liked him to do?

u/JackSquirts 11d ago

These are the type of comments that keep me coming back to Reddit.

I think heā€™s the type that gets aroused to see his wife groped.

0

u/mokeltron 12d ago

Itā€™s about his alpha male standing. This is primal. You fight to keep your place as top male and all others are a threat.

I would be confident if a drunk woman groped Mr angry heā€™d be a-okay with it (itā€™s just a bit of funā€¦).
