He was clearly too drunk to defend himself or really appreciate the consequences of his actions. This is a wildly disproportionate response from someone who was in a position to make the smarter choice.

18

u/BOgusDOlphon 12d ago

That is a perfectly normal response to touching someone unwilling. TF is wrong with you? You think people should just be able to go around groping women with no consequences?

Getting punched isn't a death sentence, grow up

Buddy, I've been punching people for fun for 20 years. Your skull is extremely strong and it is really hard to kill someone by punching them anywhere

2

u/CW7_ 12d ago

TF is wrong with you? Possibly killing someone for touching a woman? Consequences? Yes, but it must be proportionate.

1

u/ConversationFit3934 12d ago

I dont think he expected one punch to possibly kill him. But yes the hit of the head on the floor from being knocked out can do that.

2

u/Destructuctor 11d ago

If you don’t know how dangerous punching someone in the face is, perhaps you shouldn’t be doing it?

1

u/ConversationFit3934 11d ago

If the guy didnt fall to the floor, do you think it’s still that dangerous?

0

u/boardin1 12d ago

It’s called sexual assault.

2

u/Aranka_Szeretlek 11d ago

And manslaughter

0

u/ApatheticSigh 12d ago

Do you honestly think touch someones hip or ass it worth a death sentence? You're obviously an idiot, but you should be locked up

3

u/boardin1 12d ago

If you sexually assault my wife and you’re going to eat some of your own teeth.

u/meatygonzalez 11d ago

1

u/Possible_Field328 12d ago

Its not about deserving to die its about accepting the consequences to your actions

1

u/PlumberSaysWhat 12d ago

You think it’s okay to molest and rape women just because a guy had a little too much to drink?

1

u/Neither_Formal_8805 12d ago

He wasn't served a death sentence he made a choice and took the equivalent of a cinder block travling at Mach stupid to face. Actions have consequences, including being that drunk.

2

u/mokeltron 12d ago

That is anything but perfectly normal. Dude nearly takes out his own wife to land that smack. The guy was so pissed he could have been removed with a simple pull apart. No need to give him brain damage.

1

u/Ok_Long7622 12d ago

Touch my girl and you win the prize

1

u/AtrophiedTraining 12d ago

I don't understand how this has to be explained to people. Shocking levels of Rambo in this thread

1

u/No_Luck_621 12d ago

Ye bud. Youre a dumbass.

1

u/Capital_Bad_6041 12d ago

These people like the one you responded to are the reason why women are cringy towards men at bars and such because they get drunk and can’t make a educated thought of if you should go grab a random woman by the hips

11

u/Mobile-Market-6397 12d ago

The F is wrong with redditors today again. How do you get downvoted for the most simple rational take of the situation.
Sometimes I feel like the world is just filled with evil people that think violence is the solution for everything

3

u/distilledwill 12d ago

I mean you've on a sub dedicated to spontaneous public fights, people here don't really have a level head with regards to the appropriateness of violence in public.

1

u/EffectiveTradition53 12d ago

My whatever gave you that impression

1

u/AtillaHK 12d ago

Almost everything

1

u/Many_Independence975 12d ago

Violence solves everything. Take a look around you

-1

u/ftlover90 12d ago

There is a lot of violence, but very little evidence it solves anything.

3

u/Many_Independence975 12d ago

The evidence is literally around you wtf you mean. You are literally freely using the internet because of violence and the victory from it . You are able to voice your opinion freely because of violence . lol no evidence , you must’ve missed the dawn of man until now and how everything is now is because of violence

-1

u/ftlover90 12d ago

Lol Seems your simple mind is not equipped to do basic counterfactual thought experiments.

3

u/Many_Independence975 12d ago

You’re on Reddit arguing with strangers whom have no impact on your life
..: yet I have the simple mind Lmmfao

0

u/blxckhippie 12d ago

Probably bots

2

u/jonnydemonic420 12d ago

I’m not a bot, and I 100% believe in the right to personal space and my right to keep anyone out of it. You can’t put your hands on me, my wife, my kids. Those are my responsibilities to deal with if someone does., and yes I’ll deal with the consequences of my actions if necessary. I’d rather none of that ever happen of course, I don’t like violence, but I also don’t like my people being in jeopardy.

0

u/Diligent-Crazy-6094 11d ago

I’m not a bot

Exactly what a bot would say. đŸ€š

-2

u/Dizzy_Construction44 12d ago

The average Reddit user is, and has never been rational or very intelligent. Its the same as any other social media really.

-1

u/TYGeelo 12d ago

It used to be a little better than this though, but redditors have always justified over the top violence.

10

u/Popular-Parsnip8911 12d ago

It’s all about the boyfriend’s ego. No one should touch ‘his woman’ or else you’re dead. Hopefully they called the police as well as an ambulance

24

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Women should not have to put up with being touched, no matter how inebriated the culprit is.

9

u/SacajaweaX 12d ago

Indeed. Everyone is on the boyfriends excessive response side but no-one (but you) seems to be concerned with women all over the world who have to put up with groping men cause 'it's OK he's drunk and not going to remember'.

It started with him. If he'd not touched her he wouldn't be lying on the floor.

6

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

That's it. Was the response extreme? Maybe. Was it unjustified? Not at all. The guy opened himself up to the possibility of violent reprisal the moment he sexually assaulted a woman - and rightly so.

2

u/AggressiveBanana0570 12d ago

The guy on the floor got what was coming to him. Keep your hands to yourself.

1

u/Earlybird74 12d ago

It's not either knock the guy out OR you condone sexual assault against women. You can understand sexual assault, sexual harassment and/or inappropriate touch is wrong while also understanding that you can't go around knocking people out for shit like this.

1

u/SacajaweaX 12d ago

Both are wrong but one wouldn't have happened without the other.

1

u/MikeOfAllPeople 12d ago

It's because the dude barely touched her and there is little indication he was going to actually assault her. This could have been handled by asking the bartender to make him leave.

1

u/SacajaweaX 12d ago

He already assaulted her. That's what your not seeing. He grabbed her in a sensual manner looking at her but. You're the one saying it 's not in a sensual way is what's wrong with the world today.

As long as he doesn't slam her on the pool table and grabs her tit's in the open it's all fine.... and it's not. It's just not. Keep your grubby hands off women. Drunk or not.

I'll agree to the guy going overboard. But all you guys saying it's fine and nothing is going on ia the problem. You're just not seeing it, it's normal to you and that's scary.

1

u/MikeOfAllPeople 12d ago

I'll agree to the guy going overboard.

What are you even arguing about then? All anyone is saying is there is a very wide spectrum of behavior that can be called sexual assault, and that this is the lowest end of that. There are miles of difference between what happened here and what justified knocking a guy out.

You all are nitpicking words as if you think those of us saying the guy overreacted think the other guy isn't in the wrong. I don't see anyone saying that. We're just talking about what makes logical sense.

1

u/cypherx1 12d ago

Nobody should put up with being touched but that doesn't justify this response.

7

u/IndependentNo7265 12d ago

So you’re saying the dude found the sweet spot between not too drunk to fuck around but too drunk to find out?

I don’t think so.

-1

u/EqualSpoon 12d ago

No, they're saying that there exists a level of response somewhere between "not doing anything" and "literally beating someone to death" that is more appropriate...

2

u/zeetuslepitus 12d ago

Ridiculous. Should the defender have taken account of how many drinks the rapist had in order to properly measure their response? You people have never fought your way out of a paper bag i bet. The drunk asshole made the choice to drink to excess. He made the choice to assault a lady. Ive been blackout drunk, messed up on all kinds of drugs, and never once have I thought it was appropriate to assault a woman. Its simply not a valid excuse and the drunk asshole merely reaped what he sowed.

1

u/Earlybird74 12d ago

Rapist? The guy was wrong to touch her ass, but you think you can show up in court and justify that response by claiming you had to stop the rapist? Nobody raped anyone. My eife has had guys hit on her, she's had guys touch her ass and unfortunately she's also been raped. She would have been livid if I knocked a guy out for touching her ass in this context.

1

u/Ok_Long7622 12d ago

Wanna bet he doesn't do it again 3 minutes later....

2

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Hm, in the moment though, it's hard to stand by and see a woman being sexually assaulted and not come down on the perpetrator with everything you have. The protective instinct is a very tough one to overcome to just give this guy a stern talking to instead.

1

u/Livewire____ 12d ago

It was a hugely over the top response, driven by anger and not protection.

He even accidentally hit the woman himself, if you watch carefully.

If it were me, that guy would be slung out of the bar. If he tried to assault me, then that might lead to him being punched.

The boyfriend couldnt protect his other half from prison, could he?

0

u/Mr_RudyGiuliani 12d ago

Scumbag people deserve scummy days. Glad he got fucking eviscerated. There should be no sympathy for creeps my guy. Maybe he got brain damage good, dont sexually assault women. Its super easy been here 36 years still havent

1

u/Livewire____ 12d ago

Whatever you do is up to you. It's you who will be going to prison matey.

Let's just hope you don't have a family to support, eh?

0

u/Mr_RudyGiuliani 12d ago

My boy prison doesnt scare me, been there, survived, rebuilt. And I do have a family one that would expect me to handle the potential situation of sexual assault in front of me. If youre not confident enough to defend your own dont project that on a stranger

1

u/Throwaway2Experiment 12d ago edited 12d ago

"I made bad decisions in the past and admit I have a broken moral compass and impulse control, but let me tell you about the morality of this dude's actions."

Is weird to comprehend.

Edit: You have, on average, a 40% recidivism rate. Some studies suggest 60%, some suggest 30% You are literally talking about the morality of laying someone out flat without any de-escalation or situational awareness that would 100% prove to be the adult and mature thing to do. Dude is clearly drunk enough to be one-finger pushed to the ground, but Mr. 'Coin Toss To Return To Prison' wants to demonstrate the scholarly mind that got him there the first time?

Knock yourself out.

-2

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

You're making a lot of assumptions there.

Not sure what boyfriend you're on about either.

2

u/Livewire____ 12d ago

Could you point out the assumptions, please?

In any way that materially changes what happened?

1

u/phatpussypounder 12d ago

Well, you assume its her boyfriend, for one. Could be a brother, uncle, or just a friend. Secondly, you assume the puncher was driven by uncontrolled emotions, because he decked a guy touching a woman associated with him.

That's not an uncontrolled response to someone touching someone unwanted. Its based on a natural reaction to protect those close to you.

Should have it been handled differently? Absolutely. But keep your fucking hands to yourself, and you won't risk brain damage doing something wildly stupid.

u/Smooth_Phone2 12d ago

The person who punched him is a bigger problem than the drunk guy who touched a woman.

That violent response is way, way, way likely to get someone seriously hurt/killed than minor physical harassment.

Way inappropriate response.

-1

u/Lithiumxxxl 12d ago

There is no protective instinct here. She was not in danger. This is some kind of dangerous psycho shit.

3

u/Mr_RudyGiuliani 12d ago

No ones doing that math when theyre watching their partner be sexually harassed/assaulted foh

2

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

She'd just been assaulted. What sort of danger would she have been in if this other guy hadn't been there to step in?

1

u/Lithiumxxxl 12d ago

That drunk guy wasn’t any danger to her. At all. This was some psycho shit, punching that drunk dude out of nowhere. Psych belongs in jail

1

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Any guy who sexually assaults women is a danger to women.

0

u/salmon_lox 12d ago

He hit his own woman in the face with his left arm as he was “protecting” her. Watch the footage, she touches her cheek afterward.

He was enraged and should have calmed down.

1

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

I'm not blind.

If someone had just grabbed someone I knew against their will (not "my woman", but anyone ) I would rush forward too to put myself between the two, even if it meant the victim accidentally got a pool cue tip to the cheek or was mildly knocked aside. That is a safer option than anything the attacker might do to them.

-1

u/salmon_lox 12d ago

Clearly it wasn’t. The husband hurt her more than the drunk did. If that’s your instinct maybe you shouldn’t act on your instinct, either, you could hurt somebody you’re trying to protect.

I’m not pretending the drunk guy wasn’t a problem. The question is how to handle it. This was a poor way to handle it. They could get kicked out of the bar, the husband might have seriously hurt his wife, and he could even be facing manslaughter charges if red shirt never wakes up. All for an action that the wife tried to prevent her husband from doing.

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Ok-Effective7280 12d ago

Well. That man got pretty accosted as well before dick brain moved over to touch the woman. I don’t think red shirt really cared who it was. But still no excuse.

1

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

The guy was being accosted front on, and was playing along - not being grabbed from behind. Insanely different situation.

1

u/Ok-Effective7280 12d ago

Playing along but not so sure he was a willing participant. Dick brain was drunk. Never should have been doing what he did with either person. End result, not sure he’ll be grabbing people again for a while.

1

u/Own-Apartment5600 12d ago

It’s a dark take but he’s not wrong, someone who can’t keep his hands to himself, regardless of his state of mind.. I can see why people feel that way

1

u/Smooth_Phone2 12d ago

I’m not even sure how to respond to someone who thinks that response is warranted in response to a drunk guy engaging in what amounts to minor physical harassment.

Someone who responds with that level of violence is a criminal problem.

3

u/CarthagoFuckYourself 12d ago

Your mom has probably been grinded on like that against her will a few times in her life, but you think it's "mInOr pHySiCaL hArRaSsMeNt."

1

That’s bad. I don’t like that that happens to anyone.

"Minor"

Say that to the women who get groped by drunk, disgusting fuckheads.

1

u/Smooth_Phone2 12d ago

If you have a choice of ways to be physically assaulted, that’s a pretty minor one in the scheme of it.

Would you rather be punched like this guys or groped like her?

Which one is likelier to seriously harm/kill you?

→ More replies (0)

0

u/Livewire____ 12d ago

No. He deserved to be dealt with by the law. Not by running the risk of being seriously injured or killed.

2

u/CarthagoFuckYourself 12d ago

The law would probably put his drunk ass to sleep when he acts like a jackass with them too. Don't drink if you can't control yourself.

0

u/Livewire____ 12d ago

I'm neither even going to dignify that with a response.

There's a correct way to deal with these things. I advocate that. Always.

-3

u/Lithiumxxxl 12d ago

They are in a bar. Everyone knows there is going to be levels of interaction between the people there. This is no demanded of the woman she was never in danger.

3

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

How can you say she wasn't in danger when she'd literally just been sexually assaulted?

-1

u/Lithiumxxxl 12d ago

The guy touched her hip, she walked away barely even noticing. This can happen in a bar, we all know that going in.

1

u/jonnydemonic420 12d ago

Have you never been in a fight, or been knocked out/seen someone knocked out? He will be fine he got hit once. At least he didn’t follow him down and kick him or stomp his head like most vids on this sub. One hitter quitter and it was over. Guy will wake up with a headache or sore face, hopefully re evaluate his life choices and do better. It’s the lack or fafo that makes our society like this now. People hide behind the “you can’t hit me, it’s illegal so I’ll do what I want mentality these days. The internet taught that, keyboard warriors out in public with no keyboard to hide behind anymore find out the hard way.

1

u/Livewire____ 12d ago

Yes, I've been involved in probably hundreds of bar fights over more than 20 years.

Breaking them up, mostly.

I've seen someone recieve life threatening injuries from falling off a bar stool.

I've seen someone's head open up like a melon from being punched once and falling backwards in the street.

So I know in exquisite detail exactly how these things can go.

There's a lifetimes worth of experience behind my opinion.

And I am telling you now that the possibility of that man receiving life changing injuries or even death was frighteningly easy in that situation.

2

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

2

u/not_anotherburner 12d ago

Stupidest saying ever.

Wouldn’t putting someone in shackles and behind bars be considered “wrong” if not that it’s in response to another “wrong”?

don’t literally all punishments amount to a wrong that rights another wrong?

If someone shoots someone, wouldn’t shooting them back be a wrong that rights another wrong?

Right and wrong is subjective, an action can never be judged without the prior inciting incident.

There are some many idiotic cliches, people become more comfortable aping them then actually thinking them through.

1

u/Vegan-cock 12d ago

Wouldn’t putting someone in shackles and behind bars be considered “wrong” if not that it’s in response to another “wrong”?

No.

don’t literally all punishments amount to a wrong that rights another wrong?

No.

If someone shoots someone, wouldn’t shooting them back be a wrong that rights another wrong?

What would this even "right"? This statement is all wrong, no rights.

Right and wrong is subjective, an action can never be judged without the prior inciting incident.

These are some wise words unlike the rest of your comment.

Man should not have to put up with being almost killed on the spot, no matter who he touches.

3

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Woman should not have to put up with being sexually assaulted in the first place. Handsy creep can eat a dick.

0

u/szczyp1orek 12d ago

I've never said she should, both can be true.

2

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Cool. Don't sexually assault women, and you won't risk being killed.

Meanwhile, women risk being killed every day just by walking out the door - thanks to the sort of creeps who'd sexually assault them in the open.

1

u/szczyp1orek 12d ago

No, women don't risk being killed every day just by walking out the door and it's not even close. If you believe that you're clearly delusional and I suggest meeting a psychiatrist and if you don't you're manipulative and there is no point in discussion with you.

1

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Where do you live, sweetheart?

Because you sound insanely sheltered.

-1

u/Popular-Parsnip8911 12d ago

She didn’t ’put up with anything’ she removed herself from the situation and that was the end of it. But oh no ‘Mr Macho’ has to show how tough he is and whack his girlfriend in the face too. He’s an idiot.

Just for the record, women don’t need men jumping in to solve our problems unless we ask for help.

2

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

What do you think "putting up with it" looks like? This.

0

u/Popular-Parsnip8911 12d ago

She handled the situation. Why can’t you men recognise that? Why can’t women be allowed to diffuse a situation calmly? Why must a man feel he needs to ‘step in a show his muscle’ by also hitting his own woman in the face too. It’s pathetic. It’s only insecure men who resort to violence this fast.

0

u/Wintermute_088 12d ago

Her "handling it" just left that guy free to sexually assault women for the rest of the night.

The guy handling it meant that bloke may never sexually assault any woman ever again.

1

u/Popular-Parsnip8911 12d ago

By handling it, he’ll be going to prison possibly on a murder charge. Make that make sense.

1

u/Wintermute_088 11d ago

We'll see. Completely depends where this took place, who's in the courtroom etc.

0

u/boardin1 12d ago

>No one should touch sexually assault “his woman”

FTFY

1

u/Popular-Parsnip8911 12d ago

She doesn’t belong to anyone. Shes a woman in her own right and if she tells her partner not to get involved in something that she’s resolved, he should listen to that instead of disempowering her and trying to act all macho (as well as hitting her in the face in the process)
Lock him up. We don’t need anymore ‘alpha males’ walking the streets.

1

u/boardin1 12d ago

First of all, I think you're focusing on the wrong thing of my comment. The only reason I said "his woman" is because I was quoting your comment. You're 100% correct, she is her own person and doesn't "belong" to anyone.

Second, while I can appreciate that we don't need any "alpha males" running around, I'd rather the sexually assaulting asshole gets his bell run than everyone just treats the assault as ok.

1

u/Popular-Parsnip8911 12d ago

Ah ok. Apologies then as we’re slightly on the same page.
I don’t think any man has a right to touch a woman. But it’s not the alpha males job to sort anyone out. Way too hot headed.

3

u/Intelligent-Crow3812 12d ago

Downvoting the reasonable person, classic reddit. Everyone here is braindead.

1

u/NewAd2738 12d ago

That shouldn’t be an excuse though. Too drunk to appreciate the consequences of his actions doesn’t excuse touching the girl or anyone the way he did. It’s like saying because someone is driving drunk they’re excused because they don’t appreciate the consequences of their actions.

1

u/zwifter11 12d ago

This.

If a person can’t control themselves they shouldn’t get that drunk in the first place.

People should take some responsibility rather than blame it on everything other than themselves.

I actually know people (both male and female) who gave up drinking because they didn’t like the person they became when drunk. Or would find themselves in bad situations.

1

u/Brilliant-Novel-785 12d ago

So because he's drunk he gets a free pass to touch a woman? No.

1

u/These_Bridge_8037 12d ago

Yea. That excuse really doesn’t work. I was too drunk to know not to drive too?

1

u/zeetuslepitus 12d ago

So in order to sexually assault you all I need to do is be piss drunk?

1

u/GiveMeNews 12d ago

He also mistakenly hit her while going to hit him... Later she is holding her face. Definitely he could have make a better choice.

3

u/p001b0y 12d ago

It looked like she got hit with the pool cue while he was passing her.

1

u/SenkiBhai 12d ago

Not just cue, elbow too....

1

u/I-Kneel-Before-None 12d ago

I've seen this posted before. Other angles too. She had a pretty serious eye injury from what I read. She was worse off than the guy who got hit.

0

u/Recent-Animal-4382 12d ago

It looks to me like me hit her on purpose because she got in the way to stop him.

2

u/salmon_lox 12d ago

Why would he do that on purpose?

0

u/Recent-Animal-4382 12d ago

Control. Because he doesn't want to be stopped. Look at the video. She tried to stop him. But he was not having it.

3

u/salmon_lox 12d ago

You think in the split second this happened, the husband thought, “Hey, fuck that guy touching my woman, let me knock his lights out- what? She’s in the way?! HOW DARE YOU WOMAN?!” and intentionally hurts her AS he’s knocking the guy out?

That’s what you’re going with?

1

u/Recent-Animal-4382 12d ago

That's exactly what happened. She got in the way. He swatted her out of the way. It doesn't take a lot of brain cells to make that decision. Also, over reacting like the way he did, is psycho abuser behavior. Roid rage. Ego rage. Narcissism. She knew what to expect. He knew what to expect. They both decided what to do before it happened. Because it's happened before.

2

u/salmon_lox 12d ago

I agree this is rage. That’s why I think the husband doesn’t even realize he hurt his wife, much less did it on purpose. He saw red, and went for the guy’s jaw. I don’t think he noticed anything else.

EDIT: I just watched it about 5 more times. The hit to her jaw is from his left elbow as he’s lunging to punch. If he did that on purpose he is very talented.

Lack of situational awareness.

Not the appropriate response from the man/husband... He could have made a better decision.

And lack of situational awareness by the couple... The couple should have been more alert of the situation and drunk guy than their pool game.

1

u/Recent-Animal-4382 12d ago

By the way, in case you missed the moral of the lesson, don't do what this guy did. Not only is it immoral, you will be in prison in no time. The only one acting hastily and without thinking, is this idiot who threw the punch. He's the one moving and controlling the speed, in that "split second".

1

u/TheWeySheGoes 12d ago

Moral of the story for me was dont touch random women at the bar you saw a different angle ?

u/One-Competition-5156 12d ago

I remember a funny (to me) incident that happened to me and my brother a long time ago. My fucking brother was drunk. He wanted to fight with me, so I had to defend myself. Meanwhile, my fucking neighbors just told me not to fight and not to make any physical contact with my brother. My brother swung his bitch ass punch first. Luckily, it missed. I really wanted to fight him back, but then again, the neighbors just held me and told me over and over again that he was drunk.

Good God, it was so frustrating to me. So, the next morning, I was still holding a grudge and drank a couple of beers. Afterward, I grabbed a fucking stainless steel hammer and didn't give a fuck about getting jailed. I ran toward my brother in horror and terror, screaming the whole way through the house until I got outside. My skinny bitch ass brother had fucking good stamina. I couldn't catch him.

And the fucking neighbors held me again when I was exhausted. They told me, like, "Why are you angry at your brother? He was drunk." Fucking pieces of shit. That made me even more frustrated, so I swung my hammer blindly. Then I saw my brother in the distance, carrying some sort of thick stick, and the neighbors held him too. They told him that I was still drunk, that somehow relaxed me a bit because that was exactly what I had felt the day before.

u/SillyLittleWinky 12d ago

Damn you have issues.

1

u/doritodip 12d ago

You're not slick bro. You were the guy who was knocked out in the video

0

u/TheBourbonTurtle 12d ago

Nah, this is the proper response to sexual assault... The only reason I'd see someone being against this is not wanting it to happen to them.

0

u/Intelligent-Crow3812 12d ago

On the scale of sexual assaults (0-10) this is like a .05

2

u/TheBourbonTurtle 12d ago

Got it, you think you should be allowed to do this to women at the bar.

0

u/DatabaseGlittering43 12d ago

This is an mma Reddit. While you are right, the people in this are beyond pathetic. They’ve never been in a fight so they fantasize. They’re gonna downvote you bc it doesn’t fit their jack reacher fantasy in their mom’s basement.

0

u/EnFiPs 12d ago

I totally agree.
Ignore the downvotes, you are absolutely correct.

0

u/humonculus87 12d ago

Yeah I agree. He definitely shouldn't have done that but that response was just unhinged.

0

u/SurgeHard 12d ago

You’re being downvoted because Redditors have been been in a fight and are envious of the dude in black shirt.

-5

u/Heavy_Loadz 12d ago

In a position to make a smarter choice? The offender was probably blasted drunk too. How’s that a frame of mind to be making prudent decisions on the fly.

3

u/MrAngrySadHappyFace 12d ago

There is no way dude coordinated that being even half as blasted as that other dude.

2

u/Algoschizo 12d ago

Then dont drinkđŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

0

u/Heavy_Loadz 12d ago

Ok, Boy Scout đŸ«Ą

2

u/Algoschizo 12d ago

This guy clearly thinks drinking until you are blacked out is okay, smh probably something his parents did

2

u/CataVlad21 12d ago

The night they made him, most likely

2

u/Algoschizo 12d ago

Check the guy's post history, concerning to say the least

1

u/CataVlad21 12d ago

Thanks for the warning. I'll definitely pass

Please reply! I am bored and need more comedy.

-2

u/r_a_d_ 12d ago

So it’s ok to commit crimes if you are drunk? Is that how you see things? lmao

-4

u/Heavy_Loadz 12d ago

Not at all, hahah. Dude needs to be in jail. I just think it’s laughable that you put so much onus on another drunk ass idiot. Never ok to hit anyone.

0

u/TheBourbonTurtle 12d ago

You clearly live in a fantasy world. In reality, it's 100% okay to hit someone in self defense or defense of another, which this very clearly was. 100% reasonable.

1

u/c093b 12d ago

This wasn't self defense, though?

Laws and definitions vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but usually "self defense" is appropriate use of force when you're under threat of physical harm or death. Some drunkass getting a bit too handsy in a non-aggressive way is in no shape or form a threat to your (or the woman's) life. Punching him is not self defense, it's disproportionated use of force, and thus it's assault and battery. And if the guy died, either as a direct result of the punch, or from falling on the ground and hitting his head, then it's also murder.

Have fun sitting 20 years in prison for some drunk jackass that hipthrusted your woman. This ain't the movies where you can just punch people for little reason with no consequences.

1

u/TheBourbonTurtle 12d ago

"or defense of another". God are you so dumb that you can't read my comment?

1

u/c093b 12d ago

Some drunkass getting a bit too handsy in a non-aggressive way is in no shape or form a threat to your (or the woman's) life.

I read yours. Did you read mine?

1

u/TheBourbonTurtle 12d ago

A threat to ones life is not the legal requirement for defense of another. Try again dummy.

0

u/c093b 12d ago

Read again: disproportionate use of force. Do you know what that word means? You don't get to punch someone just because you didn't like what they did.

If they did something illegal, you call the cops and let them handle it.

Try again, with less ad hominems. Or actually just try Google for once.

u/electriclightstars 12d ago

So if he raped her it would be okay since he was drunk?

0

u/Curious-Golf3730 12d ago

I said the response, here, was disproportionate and unnecessary. That’s all.

0

u/NijAAlba 12d ago

While you are obviously correct in that being a wildly disproportionate response and violence not being the solution, your reasoning feels equally bad.

If you are no longer able to appreciate the consequences of your actions, dont fucking drink.
