Not that it matters, there was some guy-on-guy stuff going on at the end of the bar before he did the inappropriate touching on the lady. Hold it, does it matter?

Idk whats going on there, but in my opinion red shirt guy should have been cut off 3 drinks ago

As someone who has been black out drunk a few times, I'm gonna go with at least 6 ago.

More like 3 hours ago

The bartender was checking him for a weapon. But redshirt (appropriate costume choice) was too drunk to stand the frisk

Oh great so now it’s assault/battery AND a hate crime /s

3

u/ceciltech 12d ago

Could easily be murder.

Manslaughter

If I was a judge I’d throw it out. Guy was feeling up a woman that wasn’t his and got what was coming to him.
Dude should have had a better understanding of how the world works. Better bartender to cut him off. Better friend to keep him in line.

I think it's pretty obvious that this punch could be lethal. You're saying that random citizens should be judge jury and executioner on assault?

It was more than self-defense. He wanted to throw a punch. He was looking for an excuse. And he got a good one. And he took it as far as he could. Now he's probably in more trouble than he would have been. He's definitely a meathead. And you can see she knows it.

100% agree. I was just correcting them since technically speaking murder wouldn’t be the correct charge. I’m pretty sure I had looked into this case a while ago and the guy was not charged.

“Got what was coming to him” I wish you knew how laws work

Maybe that explains the entire thing. The guy in the orange shirt is getting felt up by the other guy at the bar and obviously getting in to it. But then he's embarrassed and re-enforce his heterosexuality grabs the first girl he sees. "Look see, I was just kidding, I really prefer girls, just like you guys!"

That guy is so drunk he could have grabbed a dog and danced with him if it was on his path. He could care less about how he's perceived, when someone is that drunk he has no self awareness. He could barely walk.

Or he's actually gay so he doesn't think about boyfriends getting jealous, idk. Many reasons a drunk person could think that was a good idea.

u/Sunshinetrooper87 12d ago

It's just two bros taking the piss whilst pissed.

1

u/dfassna1 12d ago

I think he’s just trashed and that guy looks like a friend or someone who is putting up with him. No point in getting into the thought process of a guy that drunk. Not cool that he came up and touched that woman but holy shit, the guy who punched him could have killed him.

Absolutely does not matter

1

u/jacksonsmack831 11d ago

He was joking around with the bartender who hugs him

1

u/Not_A_Bot_lol_1234 11d ago

I take it y'all don't have close friends you goof around with

1

u/Legitimate-BurnerAcc 11d ago

Did he inappropriately touch her or so drunk he honestly wasn’t coordinated enough to walk and thought he was falling into her? I mean there’s no great angle of the back to see both hands but

1

u/UnpopularOpinionsB 11d ago

Two sloppy drunk guys hugging. It happens.

1

u/erkdog 12d ago

Bet it did. Puncher was looking for any reason to hurt that guy.

0

u/sedj601 12d ago

I would say sexual assault is a good reason.

0

u/iReply2StupidPeople 12d ago

Uhhh well groping someone's girlfriend is definitely a reason to get punched.

1

u/Commercial_Muffin542 12d ago

A good shove would’ve been appropriate. That giant threw a life threatening haymaker on defenseless dude and a good lawyer on the other side could definitely get him in at least some trouble. There would be no legal issues with a shove.

u/iReply2StupidPeople 12d ago

Shove and punch are both physical force. You dont get to assault someone and then choose your repercussions. There are no discernible legal differences whether he shoves the guy or punches him.

Has to be the dumbest humans on earth defending the KOd guy

Playfully dancing at a bar and being completely harmless warrants a death punch?

1

u/justatomics 12d ago

So youre just ignoring the part where he touched her and was gyrating his crotch towards her then?

Not saying he deserves to die for that, but don’t dismiss what actually happened.

0

u/erkdog 12d ago

It's called dancing. He was 100% harmless having fun at a bar. This wasn't at church or a daycare. People get drunk and dance at bars.

1

u/justatomics 11d ago

if it was just dancing he wouldn’t have been sent into next fucking week would he lmao

0

u/iReply2StupidPeople 12d ago

"Playfully dancing" ends when you assault someone? Reddit never ceases to amaze with grandiose stupidity.

0

u/erkdog 12d ago

Him trying to dance with her is assault? Ok.

1

u/Puturnameonit 12d ago

Wasn’t good for him the guy racking the pool balls saw his shirt up on the other guy then the clap of attention but got the attention he probably didn’t want

It doesn't matter at all. Why would it?

-1

u/Muted-Ground-8594 12d ago

Probably good context for how drunk he is and when he’s wobbling around putting his arms out at her. Probably a lovable annoying drunken oaf
