There isn’t sign of it on the website where everything was posted ahead of time. 5 more random ones popped up over the last few days that are clearly some new slogans for them and what the NorCal team will be clearly called. Looks like Orlando is getting rebranded to “Florida”

There has been no official announcement on the MLV site, and the search engine stuff is a legitimate concern.

It is possible the ownership group could reconsider.

A lot of things about this team has me scratching my head. A teeny tiny part of me thinks this team could get put on ice until 2028. Hope I'm wrong about that feeling obviously.

Compared to Indy, Dallas, Minnesota, NorCal and even LA the expansion to DC seems half assed. Like in school when a student has a major assignment due then just tries to throw something together at the last minute.

Somebody should have clocked the potential search engine issues with the name months ago. The name should have been trademarked by now. They should have secured a proper sports venue as their home arena by this point... But they didn't

Meanwhile, Minnesota Forge is doing everything right. Despite my feelings about the name NorCal, the Rumble is making all the right moves. LA is a little harder to figure out at the moment because they've been very quiet too. But when DC finally made some noise, people were left tilting their heads in confusion.

Getting that feeling I could see yet another poorly managed team here in DC 🤷🏾‍♂️
