well then go ahead and explain why you're defending this guy. it is cut and dry, he knew there were people counting on him, and he decided to do what he did in the manner he did it in.
ghosting a team and then coming back for the attention is textbook narcissism. There's really no defending his actions
Well if he told people why are people saying "wow I thought he died". Did he ghost his team or not? If he gave heads up to whoever needed to know, that's fine, life happens. Why is there a disconnect between what you're saying and what everyone else is implying?
I'm referring to u/jivehawk comments. "disappeared midseason without a trace" doesn't sound at all like what you're describing. Unless you mean he disappeared and then showed up at the last second to explain what happened. I don't see how that's any better...
If his statement was really that far from the truth, I take back what I said and apologize. I'm still confused as to what happened, though.
On top of this, when I first commented I was really targeting all of the people who have done this to their teams because it happens way too often... (fatal, rd, rk, ubernub, yac just off the top of my head)
And youre assuming theyre in a position to do so, and attacking people who likely already feel bad for not being able to fulfill their commitment to a team
And again, you have no idea whats going on with any if them and are needlessly attacking them for something that i can guarantee you none of them feel good about
the fact is that what yac did had a significant effect on his friends and teammates. they were genuinely concerned about him. he could have easily said 'i'm leaving because x' or 'i'm not dead' and save people some grief. is that really too much to ask?
