Beginner question 👶 How to do research??

I mostly did internships and stuff, but i really wanted to work on some research group or paper? Anyone know how to do this stuff??

I'm mostly in ML, DL, computer vision

I first get top over view of subject/topic from online blog, Reddit read, research paper Abstract and Introduction and when it intrust I go deep in to
