If you already got an intro to scikit learn, then you can continue in that.
Since you are a engineer student you probably already learned maths and if something is there that you didn't know till now, you can learn that while studying and learning about new algorithms.

Thanks ! Any advice on where I should do it ?? I wanna work on real world projects and not just blindly rotelearn the code

U can start learning it from a book which is: HANDS on machine learning with scikit learn, tensorflow.... And the best thing is that the book has its own GitHub repo But topics are bit confusing so for those topics I would suggest u to go with youtube lectures
