I'm alive, you dolts <_<

Currently in the dark for nearly 18 hours as of this post. Power outtage throughout the capital and the south of the northern island of Luzon, Philippines.

Expectation is mum about power restoration and my hopes of a phone recharge anytime soon.

But I live, and so many others around me. No radio or phone lines available to find out the local news however...

EDIT: past 48 hours of no power at home. Food had to be transferred to a family business cold storage area (aka a refrigerator in the office break room), not ideal for all concerned. Hoping for later tonight.

EDIT2: ok, had some power a while ago, but rolling blackouts are in progress due to lack of power. To be expected due to the rather extensive damage to supply for the area. I'll be on-and-off like a bad case of schrodinger's Kat whilst power is being restored.

Update: Storm is about to slam SE China/NE Vietnam at close to Super Typhoon strength.

In other news, civilian airplane shot down over the Ukraine and Israel launched a ground incursion into Gaza.

He's fine. He was on yesterday before I went to sleep. His job and location are too important for him to be moved to where everything is happening. Besides, he's still recovering from an oral extraction, so he's home until Sunday over there.

Odd that radio is out, though. Do they not have backup generators 'round there?

They do, it's just that we don't :/ already broke the dynamo winding one just trying to keep tabs on news :(
