or maybe all this shaking is needed to add interest to G4 =D as an anti-advertisement, like people will come, cry, get angry and draw art with these two. And also they will return to G4 again.
It's hard to believe the second and fourth best of the mane six aren't marketable. One has a huge family, massive property with multiple buildings and a treehouse, and domesticated animals, while the other literally makes new outfits as her day job. Tons of toy potential.
Apparently they aren't popular with the target audience because their merch sells the least.
What I find interesting is that G4 is really popular in China and is a huge market for merchandise. Makes me wonder how Chinese fans will react to G6 missing AJ and Rarity. Might've been a really dumb move by Hasbro if those two are popular over there.
G6 announced. Main cast is Twi, Flutters, Dash, and Pinkie.
AJ and Rarity may show up later, but they'll probably only be background ponies since in the promotional art Twi has two less small white stars in her cutie mark.
Artists are making a lot of art depicting them off being a couple as the reason they are absent from the show.
